Thread: Buffs... is it worth it?
If it wasn't the pain to get nice avian and herbivore meat, I would say it is a fair price. But according to my docs friends , we think it's a pain in the ass to have top enhances (eff > 800) for customers.
Most of us use factory runs for subcomponents and hand made final enhances packs. This is because we have difficulties to get large amounts of avian meat.
The question is what price do you think buffing worth it ?
And by the same time, what price would no more buffing docs to bring them back into the market?
**edit** i love to solo the witches with buffs.
Dude you are making less sense then my hammered, "If it wasnt the pain to get nice avain and herbavoire meat, I would say it is a fair price" so what are you saying, since it is hard to get they should charge less?
Anyways you have to use a factory subcomponents whch cost alot to make and etc
I say buffs that cost more then 10k isnt fair price, 10k is a good price since it covers resource cost, and gives the doc money to spend, it shouldnt be non profit for them they need to make money as well
When was the last time you tipped the doctor and entertainer healing you? after using 3k worth of buffs pack i get maybe 1k from people but you do get the odd generous person who tips like 5k for healing 500 wounds which is extremly generous of them
It's very worth it for me. I have a little scout left and got some decent stacks of Herbivore and Avian meat. Over the past weeks I have located nice stacks of ingredients for subcomponents, priced between 4 and 10cpu.
Expensive? Yes. I laid out about 150kforthe materials I couldn't get myself, which will makescores of buff packs. In one night of buffing I recovered about 60% of my expenses, and I will be able to make plenty more packs.I charge 6k for the whole body buff, everything is over 820 eff.
It's a lot of work, but once you have good sized stacks with great quality of the many ingredients you will need, you're set to make your packs (I hand combine the final buff using factory-made advanced subs) and pick up cash whenever you need it.
The other bonus for my template is that I love to solo, so I can buff myself anywhere and treat myself to uber Stim-E's. I think it works well for me. I love being a Doctor! It's a great support role for my guild and groups I meet up with.
If you find good material for a good price, hoard it and you have a nice source of income when you need it. You can also sell parts of large resource chunks you got a volume discount on to make a little profit, but buffing is far more effective in my experience.
funny thing about a supply and demmand typeeconomy is the Cutomer, and the customer only decides the price of any good or service.
Market (price) Equalibrium through feedback and ques will reveal the true price of any good or service
Right now, it seems the Market is pushing to 10K credits for a set of buffs, and that MAY NOT,be the true equalibrium, it still may rise, since indicators are showing many people are willing to pay in the 12K-15K range for a set. Only time will tell.
Prices are flexiable
