Thread: What's the Best I Can Expect out of a Stim A?
I've been using 450 Stim Bs, but as a BH I could REALLY use those 15 skill points. Is there any prayer of getting As that heal in the 300 range? If so, it would make my year.

Best you canhope for out of a Stim A is a warm fuzzy feeling. Most people put them in the sub-100 base heal range.
Perhaps the best option may be to pay for Master Doc buffs, rely on your armor and monster stats, and blow off healing entirely. In between fights, take off your armor and your buffed stamina will recharge you very quickly.
I don't think you can use stim As without being a medic, but not positive since I never tried...
As for healing, you will never see stim As go particularly high - stim B and above can use advanced components, which boost the power of the stim over using standard ones. Stim As only use resources, no components, so they cannot get this boost and remain very low.
Highest that I've ever made have been 85 power.
However its not like I've tried all that hard either.
Besides, they dont sell well. For the same med use, most people just buy my B's in the 400 range.
If you drop novice medic, you won't be able to use any sort of stimpack on yourself. Stim A's and Stim B's have a med use requirement of 5, which is available only by taking novice medic. As both stimpacks have the same med use requirement, virtually no one uses a stim A. They're cheaper, but they're much less effective and it requires no additional skill to use a stim B.
So, there you have it, if you want those 15 skill points back, you're going to have to give up ALL ability to heal yourself, not just the ability to use stim B's.
However, to answer your question, the best Stim A will have a base heal of a little under 100. The best Stim B will have a base heal of a little over 400. Of course, how much you actually heal for will vary somewhat based upon your medic skill and some randomness thrown in for good measure.
