Thread: An Experiment in Politeness
In 4 hours of play near busy mining post on Dantooine I gave away exactly one...(yes, one) buff.
Sigh...end of rant
Back when I was using various resources of various qualities, my pricing schedule was 4k for a full buff (mine were not all 800eff + Master Doc buffs), and I'd tip back 500-1000 credits per stat that didn't break 1k. I did pretty well with this, and people were impressed with my devotion to good buffs.
Now, I have spent hundreds of thousands of credits on 900+ OQ materials, have performed factory runs to get the best experimented subs, and throw out any buff pack that doesn't meet my standards. I don't offer refunds anymore (and I raised my price) since I am doing everything I can to make a goof buff- it's the GAME that gives me 900 one buff, and 2800 on the next using the same pack. Not my fault. ![]()
My buffs are also ranging from 1000-3000. People on the Tempest server are generally aware that it is a totla dice roll, no matter what the stats of the buff are.
Anyways, here is how I charge. For a full set of buffs I charge 8k, and I refund 5k if the Health and Action are below 1200 (I usually give back if below 1400). I have never gottena complaint, even when the commando gets screwed with a 900 Health buff. I believe it shows great faith and good business manners to refund a part of agreed price when your product clearly falls short. Even though it is the games fault, why make people mad. I find that when I eat the cost of a bad buff it is only 10% of the time...tops.
And people always choose me over someone next to me, even if his is a little cheaper.
Just my 2 cents
