Well, that depends on what your character is going to be doing.

If you're going to be a doctor and nothing else (no combat, anyway), max out your mind stats and use whatever you have left on your action stats. The health stats are pointless.

However, if you want to do some fighting, I'd recommend balancing health and action and bump the mind stats up a little higher. Then, as you advancein doctor to the point at which you can buff yourself, increase the disparity (lower health and action while raising mind).

Eventually, by the time you make it to master doc, you'll have tiny health and action bars and a nice, fat mind bar.

That's my recommendation, anyway. The key is that you can't overlook your mind attributes. There is nothing more useless than a doctor with an empty mind pool.

By the way, I believe Mon Cal's get some nice bonuses to being a doc and I think it's zabraks that have the "equilibrium" ability (this can be used to fully heal your mind under the right circumstances), but I've never played a zabrak so I'm not sure about that.

However, whatever race you want to play is up to you. Personally, I think SWG needs more wookies.

One other tip - be sure to check out the FAQ. There's a lot of good info there.

And, what server are you planning on playing on? I'm on Flurry - if you end up there, feel free to look up Bulbados. I'd be happy to help you get started.

Start off as an artisan charcter (trust me, its worth it) then go train a combat class, run a few missions for credits, and train in novice medic. Look at the various Doctor and Medic FAQs, and start gathering the resources you need to make meds. Youll probably want to run the occasional combat mission in order to earn money.

I would leave yourHAM (health/action/mind)stats at their default setting until you gain the ability to buff (way up in the doctor tree).

Once you get the ability to buff your stats, then you can play around a bit with their settings, but until then, I wouldnt fiddle too much.

Well i would drop my secondary health and action stats all the way. Put them in all of your mind stats. Give yourself about 800 or so health and action at first to get started. Wen your in combat your hamcosts will be prety high but sence you can heal those with a stim no problem its not that bad at all. As you get higher you might want to reduce your action and health hams if your buffing a lot. But maxing secondaries is the most important thing a doc can do. That and have a decent mind pool to begin with.
