Thread: Heal States too slow ??

As Most of us are probably using Doc and one combat class we don't get the defenses against the various states that other templates would. However we do have the ability to remove these states which does balance things. However my grievance is that the defences are passive but our cures take precious seconds out of a combat phase and could be the difference between life and death when trying to cure a state.


How many of you play pvp and actually find using heal states on yourself actually worthwhile during combat? I find that they are not worth the time it takes to remove them when you are taking damage and have to heal yourself also. When I do use them i seem to be spending more time healing myself and less time actually hitting the enemy. This is wrong and more or less removes any bonus we get from having the heals in the first place.


I have done myslef a small macro that basically goes through the heals


/healDamage self

/Pause 5

/firstAid self

/Pause 5

/healState self


At Master Doc level even the 5 seconds delay in between heals is way too long during combat. When up against good pvp'ers a fight lasting more than 15 seconds is considered a long term war. Now this can only cure you of one state aswell and when your enemy can hit you for damage and inflict a state on average once every 1-2 seconds our heals connot compete with this.


I know we could get armour or clothing attachments to help with the speed or even give us passive defense increases but I'm talking about the professions not individuals.


Does anyone else have an opinion or suggestion on this.

Perhaps a cure all states medpack found at doc level. Wouldn't cut down on them being able to apply states to you though, but would make up for them being able to apply 5 states in 5 seconds.

While we're at it, a multiple WOUND pack would be bloody useful as well - I hate having to waste huge amounts of inventory space by having multiple wound and state packs that are all identical but have different labels.
