Is there a specific metal you guys use like copper over steel or does it just go off the stats and what are the general stats you look for in your metals. Thank you

As a generic mineral I'm actually using a gemstone now. It's OQ 997 and UT in high/mid 800s I think. It's good because it can be used in a lot of schematics and isn't required in any specific ones. Dolovite is important too of course since it's specifically needed.

In the "generic" case OQ and UT are equally important for CHARGES, and for POWER (which most of us desire most :-) only OQ is needed. Thus in the case of Dolovite iron, OQ is the only thing that matters. Check out the doctor FAQ - it has a table with (at least) the requirements for specific resources. Organics typically have 50% importance on OQ and 50% importance on PE (the schematics say 66/33 but since the mineral typically has no PE, it turns out to be 50/50 in the final combine).

Yep, we need dolovite iron. Any other kind of metal will work as a general inorganic for Stim B, Stim C, and action buffs as long as it has high OQ, UT, and decay resistance. I'm using a nice domesticated corn combined with anice steel for my low/mid level stims and they come out such that I don't have to waste an experimentation point on ease of use.

yep dolovite iron is the thing however any good metal with high overall quality and unit toughness are important for inorganic for aciton buff packs. Dont bother with dolovite that isn't in the 800 range for oq and pe, because it wont sell unless it's for grinding purposes and it's tough to find.
