Thread: YAY more factory bugs!!!!
not the same as ur issue..but my factories dont work at all...
output hopper is at 50% capacity too....
sigh...
Waffle: I don't know if this is the problem or not, but. . .
I've noticed that, if you don't have a schematic in the factory (e.g. all the uses of the schematic have been used and the schematic was automatically destroyed by the system), and you don't have a schematic in your datapad, the server detects this condition and doesn't give you access to the schematic slot (because you cannot do any schematic transactions if the schematic slot is empty, and you have no schematics in your datapad to upload).
So try making a schematic (so you know you have one in your datapad) and trying again.
If this is the problem, I don't think this is really a bug. It seems logical to me.
Elenora:
I had a factory that would not work after the patch. I had to remove EVERYTHING from the output hopper before it would start working again. Funny thing is this only happened on one of my three factories.
My factory always stops for no reasonafter just a handful of items, claiming it has run out of a component that is actually still available. Yesterday when it happened I never went back to the factory. Today after the patch I logged in and the factory had restarted itself and completed that run without any intervention. It seemed the server reboot set itworking again.
So I tried starting another run. It made 2 items and then stopped for no reason. I am leaving it until after the next reboot to see if it starts up again with the server.
Re the schematic slot - it seems "remove schematic" and "add schematic" have become irrelevant - theyboth nowoperate as a "swap schematic" function, taking out the old one and putting in the new one with a single click.
Another thing that I noticed today is that I was unable to remove a schematic from my factory unless I had another one in my Datapad. Don't recall encountering this before.
