Thread: Does the patch now mean we will have even more Inentory problems?

As a Master Doctor, will this patch hurt us even more for inventory? We already were hard up for space, now even less? I am glad I can store stuff in my vendor storeroom.

Or am I just imagining the worst? I might have to change my vote up top.

Zarlor should revote now that the patch is in.

If crates willreally be lowered to 1, that will help immensely. Note that despite what the patch notes say, they're still counting as 5 against inventory. The new one size might only apply to 'new' crates, but I suspect the patch the notes were for didn't actually get loaded. The CH fix for baby pets that was listed in the notes didn't go in either.

From my testing for a very short time this morning before I headed off to work, crates (old or new) claimed they were only volume 1 and, in fact, they only took up 1 volume when beoing counted against a house's limits. However, they were still acting as Volume 5 in inventory or in the factory hoppers.

Umm, in regards to crates counting as 1 item - I think I saw somewhere that they only take up one inventory when you put them in a house. In your character inventory, I think they are still supposed to be 5.

As a doc, inventory management is one of my biggest concerns. If I try to keep a good stock of all the different meds I need, that's like 19 different types of items (normal stims, state stims/meds(6 I think), wound medpaks(6), resusc kits, enhance medpaks (6)). Doc's have a LOT of stuff we have to carry around. Or at least carry resources and components to make them on-demand. I'm really starting to think this is the way to go, since I can carry 4 crates of components, and like 3 resource stacks, and make whatever I need in the field, at a camp, with my droid.

Add CM to the mix and watch inventory management go flying out the door.

I still think we need a doctor's bag that only holds meds and works like a backpack for storage, but is searchable for /healwound and /healdamage (etc.) commands...

Make it a master artisan spec... maybe a medic version and a doctor version...

Lund - I agree. I've thought that too. But it's not gonna happen (at least not any time soon). Why? SWG has too many other fish to fry. Too many bugs to fix, too many other problems. Plus, they have been very agressively doing things to reduce the item counts on the servers (and the game is only 1-1/2 months old lol), like reducing housing and factory storage space. As far as I can tell, their database servers don't have enough storage space to handle the kind of load that is being generated by SWG players lol. So the devs are apparently trying to get players to reduce their inventories.

dangit, everytime I think we're seeing a light at the end of the tunnel, it keeps turning into a train. If crates are still the idiotic 5 for personal inventory then yeah, we're screwed.

I tested it today, its only one space, for the *new* crates.
