Thread: My time as a doctor has come to an end :(

First of all I want to say this is not a totalrant but rather a thank you to the community I loved so much in the past year and a half.
With the respec almost over I decide I will be dropping master doctor and only keeping novice to heal wounds. I feel in love with the medic profession in SWG after reading the guide before, if you have time read it it's very refreshing.
I enjoyed every part of being a doctor from healing people in crayt hunts to experimenting for hours with crafting stims. But sadly the CU took most of the fun out of doc, we can't craft and we don't really heal much anymore.
To those who stuck with it, more power to you. And to those who are leaving the proffession as sad as I am, I truely understand. Hopefully one day they will give doctors more healing power and make it better, who knows maybe it will be worth coming back too, but for the time being in order to keep a group alive you need other skills.
Finally, I wanted to say thank you to the community and the Correspondents that helped me along the way. Best of luck to you all.

Good luck my friend... I'll keep Doc but I've canceled my account anyway. Doc is what I wanted, Doc is what I LOVE...
I was a Doc on Sunrunner... (Still am, but don't play there anymore)
I'm a Doc on Intrepid...
I'm an unhappy customer of SOE, and feel like I was kicked in the teeth for being a long time player... Shame.

Ahh Young Apprentice. I know your heart ache!!! I will be keep'n DOC. Although sad I am for the lack of heal'n ability I have. I find much comfort in blow'n Rebies outta the sky! And the Agro my heals pull make it not worth going on hunts!!!

isn't it? I was going to be a rebel commando when I got the game or a bounty hunter, but after I read that guide I was mesmorized and had to be a doc/cm, and been one ever since. Man now I'm sad all over again about dropping doc.

Same here. I did some reading before I got the game. I knew I was going to be a doc. It pains me every time I think about it. I've gone back to doc after trying out several templates. Not because I think it's a great profession, but because I can't bear to let it go just yet. It's really just taking up skill points that I could put to better use somewhere else. But it's who "Esrina" is. She's wearing the Psychiatrist title now, which is kinda fun.
At least from a RP perspective. Maybe I'll set up a little box like Lucy and charge 5 credits for advice.

looks like several of you feel the same as myself. I loved buff crafting and worked hard to be one of the best. no I'm stuck with somewhere around 50 million units of various best of shift resources previously used for buffs. supose I could make stims but it's just not in me after losin what I enjoyed doing to the revamp.
I am selling all of my resources, likely at discounted rates as well as selling all of my crafting clothing. I have already cancelled my doctor account and my wife has cancelled her vendor account that I used for selling buffpacks. we are down now to only our combat characters
