Would a Doctor make a good BOT for a combat class ? Can a Doc heal a targeted player during combat?

I have been trying to find a good use for my DOC alt. I never had her auto follow in the past but am considering bringing her along for healing my combat toon. Was thinking a macro that cycled heals as my main fought. Anyone seeing a problem with this? If not it seems I will respec into another profession that can support my main better. Any ideas?

Depending on how well your Alt Doc can heal your damage, she may be aggo often because she may heal better then you can put out damage to the targetand probably be slain soon after. I don't think you will be too happy to find your alt has to clone because she traveled along.

Yep ...but wasnt the aggro ...it was AOE shots... she was on her butt not healing ALOT. Its quite a handful.
