Thread: How do you handle slow medics and impatient customers?

I've been a Master Doc for a couple months now. With the exception of the "U BUFF ME NOW??" tells when I have my doc title on, I really enjoy the profession. Even though I'm MD, I often hang out in medical centers while crafting since it's where I've met most of my in-game friends. This way while grinding away crafting, I can heal wounds, or chat with people as they come in. It helps me keep my sanity wile working on some of the "grind" artisan type professions.

Occasionally I have a problem in the med center when dealing with people in need of wound treatment and the medics just getting started.Often, the medics seem to think since they need the XP, the doctor should let them do all the healing. However, the customer doesn't care where the heals come from so long as they are healed quickly. I'm just wondering how others would handle this situation. I actually lean toward helping out the medic and making the customer wait. (Nine times out of ten they have no intention of paying for the service anyway.)

If the medic is friendly, I'll sometimes make better wound packs for them to get them through the grind a little faster.

Personally I don't worry about healing wounds. I will always give a novice medic Wound pack B's and let them goto town. I think I do this cause I meet a lot of great guys that were Docs that really made it fun for me.

Only problem i have is people who claim they paid but i never recieved a payment from them ever, bank or on me. I watch my money close when buffing, but if someone gets impatient then i will gladly refund their money and tell them to go find another doc

I would always give the guy who needs the xp the first crack. The person needing the heal can wait a few minutes while the medic does the work. It does not take that long.

IMO it is kinda bad form for a M. Doc to heal someone a medic is trying to heal for the xp. It is kinda like being a bully or a show off. That's just my take on it.

I am just thankful to see someone getting xp by healing someone who needs it. Heck, I have even tipped them for it.

Unfortunatly, most of us masters spend so little time in the med center since it sucks to heal in.

If I were to be in one though, I would always allow the novices to have first shot, and often ask if someone is looking from xp before throwing on an E pack and possible ruining someone's valuable experience.

I would rather let those who NEED xp take first crack at it.. especially since if they are healing the wounded then they are not AFK macro-healing tumblers..
