How much for buffs?

What do you charge, when and where?

I am only wondering cause I dropped doctor no less then a week ago and when I charged people 15k for buffs (best buffs on server just under 2600) people would complain about my prices. These buffs cost me 11.5 k per not including bivoli, time and other stuff. Now I am the the one that has to search and wait for buffs. I find a guy in Coronet SP last night after waiting a few minutes to ask how much ( i hate it when people would ask me how much even tho It was spamming above my head) there wasno sign of a price or power of buffs. So I ask how much? Then I get the spam 16k per set. Alright 16k it is thinking that these buffs were going to be half way decent. He!! no. Ok the action was like 2500+ but the rest were all over the place mostly arond 2100-2300. What the he!! is that? These are profit making 10k buffs at most. I have had and seen better at a cost of about 4k per set to the doctor if he doesn't make them. That is a 6k profit or so per buff.

Now did the prices go up in the last week or so?

Did I get out of the business at the wrong time?

With the solo group nerfthing happening in the future, do you think you will be able to charge that much then?

Does it have to do with JTL and less customers?

At this rate players will have a right to complain about prices and how much you make now. I know there was not much money in it for time that I was a doctor, but you will be the millionaires and people will have a legitamit reason to say doctors make too much money.

Just my 2 credits. Flame all you want. Or say something constuctive or say nothing at all.

Thank you.

I always say that buff prices should and will be based on supply and demand. If there is no one buffing in any of the main cities, thena doc can charge a high price because there will easily be high demand--and no one else for the customers to turn to. This is acceptable to me (and most customers, as long as they get their buff); I do not see it as greed, but just taking advantage of the situation.

If, on the other hand, several docs around the Coronet starport spamming 16k for mid-quality buffs, I do agree that the price will not stay that high for long--especially once the solo grouping nerf goes through from Test Center.

Hmm I think what you've missed here is that doctors know more about buffs than non-doctors - you know exactly what stat ranges are possible - players, well, most will be happy with 2500+, some will even be happy with 2000+, and not pay particular attention to detail.

On the note of prices, I figure charge whatever you like. I don't sit there and buff, I have much better things to do with my time... however I appreciateit is a great way to make cash - it's just that sitting there and spamming isn't my idea of playing the game or being a doctor. Anyways...

I've known people charge 80k for a buff - it all depends how desperate the players are. In terms of quality, well players could survive most things with a stat boost of about 1000, let alone 2500... of course with the exception of a few big dungeons/enemies... but it is just a few.

So as I would say to anyone who complains about doc prices, simply don't pay if you don't want them. If someone is afk and not answering your query about stats, then move on.

I'm really looking forward to changes in the buff system... I have my fingers crossed for an organic system of duration vs power, where we get to experiment, biasedtowards one or the other. I think you may see buff of around 600 to stats for long durations (eg 3hrs), and perhaps up to 1200 to stats for short directions (eg 1hr)- but maybe even those numbers are a little optomistic.

Say no to the chassis dealer. He may seem like a good guy but that greedy Bothan sonuvabitch will rob you of your pride and your dignity
