Thread: Buffing prices
I am a new master doctor on Wnderhome. I was curious what doctors on Wnderhome as well as other servers charge for buffs. Currently my buffs are around 800 with 9.5-10k duration. I have seen other doctors selling them for as much as 3k per stat. How do these prices compare to other doctors? Any info is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Price for applying buffs. Sorry for not making that clear.

I used to enhance people and told them to tip me whatever they felt it was worth. In general I would get tipped between 3-10k to fully enhance someone, which I always felt was more then fair.
Lately what I see a lot of doctors doing on Radiant is advertising 1k per stat, 5k to do all 6 stats, and a refund of 500 credits for any enhanced for less then 1k. Personally I don't like the idea of giving someone cach back for a low roll. It still costs me the same either way. Besides I don't get any extra pay when I get a really nice roll.
It basically comes down to what server you are on, but I think 1k per stat is an all around accepted price.

1k per stat, 5k for full buff.
Refund 200 per any secondary under 900
Refund 500 for any primary under 1000
Yeah, I understand the point about extra for high "rolls" versus low ones... but in the long run I still end up making a profit off ofa series of buffs anyway. Plus it usually makes them want to come back and get more. =T Dunno.
Who has money issues? My god, money comes so easy in SWG it's almost a dissapointment. I can run to Endor or even Lok and solo missions, making 50k an hour minimum.
Docs can "sell" their buffs for whatever they want, from individual to indivdual, but to me all these 5-10k buffs seem overpriced.
The whole bit about refunding money for bad rolls is absurd to me too. It's random guys, it's not a doc's fault. If I throw someone a 2600+ buff on one stat and then an 850 point buff on another, I don't apologize or offer to give them back part of the tip. Doc's can't be expected to beat the laws of chance that say sometimes we *will* throw the minimums, just like a slicer getting a poor slice. For that matter, anyone and everyone deals with the random elements and accepts it.
Go fire off 6 shots with your gun and you're gonna get some good hits and some mediocre ones.

With all due respect, you're not making your money as a doctor then, but as a combat class. I wonder if you are a master doctor or a MCH or Master combat class dabbling in doctor? I am a master doc with the Trickshot line in Pistoleer, and I can't solo high-level missions even when buffed. Money is a big issue for doctors who would like to make a living practicing their profession instead of supporting themselves by dabbling in another trade, and I think that's pretty clear by consensus from reading these forums.
Money does come easy in SWG, and one of the ways it comes easy is by selling buffs
. Making a living by (charging for) healing wounds, buffing, rezzing, selling meds is what I envisioned when Ichosedoctor. Many of us on this path also despise counting on tips since in the long run this doesn't give fair value for our services (in my experience). There was an implicit criticism of docs charging for buffs instead of tips in ur post which I think was unfair.
