Just wondering what these are. Is it + to experimentation or less chance of failure, or what? Any help is appreciated.

I've been told that it reduces the failures and increases your chance of amazing successes and on the few occasions I've been to a research center to try this I did get more amazing successes but it seemed to make no difference to the overall result from crafting in my house in a non research center.

Hats off to SOE. Not many companies could take the best MMO on the market and fu*k it up completely, that takes real skill.

It would only really benefit you if an amazing success would help in the first place. Which in my experience doesn't happen that much... You might get a little more power if you don't completely max out effectiveness (I usually don't max it completely because the last point is often more expensive). Usually an amazing success does not give me a big enough gain to get another charge.

Sometimes it does make a difference though.

Actually the benefits of amazing successes when you experiment on the whole line at the time can give you one more charge on stims and 1 or 2 more power on ABECs. And with research centers you can afford to try a few times until you get one, it usually takes 8 attempts or so.
