Getting prepared for combat in this game can be very time consuming. Even more frustrating can be the act of getting yourself rebuffed when taking a pit stop from playing the game. Everyone knows the drill. Your doctor buffs are starting to wane. But the new doc can't beat the old buffs you still have active. Solution? Be killed. Your dancer and musician buffs are short on time. Can't get overbuffed, so the solution? Be killed.
I suggest doctors gain the ability to create a debuffing pill. Usable only by the player who wants to be unbuffed, consuming this pill will kill all active buffs, allowing the player to be rebuffed when he or she desires without the need to be killed and cloned or revived.

Erm, yeah seems to make some sort of sense... but there something nice about when it all runs out.. guess its the feeling that you've got that 3 hours time limit to achieve as much as poss, at which stage you can assess how much money you made, what nice loot you got etc and feel like you've put in a long stint. Guess at that point I usually stop! But if you're hard core and wanna go for another round it makes sense to be able to just reset all your stats etc.
Q.Never tried it, but could you just logout? I know sometimes if you just quit you keep all the buffs etc, but if you go through the motions of logging out properly will you reset? May be a temporary pain but beats asking your mate to db you!

I'm afraid these solutions don't work well in practice. Like let's say you arebuffed and doing some PvE, then when the mind stats start to run out you may have 45 mins or an hour left on doctor buffs. When you're all mind buffed again, you may only have 30 minutes on doctor buffs which isn't enough time for round two. Unless there's a doctor who can beat your old, you need to be killed.
And logging out does not kill your buffs. Your buffs only drop when your avatarleaves the game world, which can take anywhere from 20 minutes upwards of two hours to happen.

Nice idea, but being the cynic that I am, this would probably come out either with the Combat Revamp or somewhat way after it...by then which if JTL is good, small issues like these (in the sense that there's nothing broken to fix technically) would fall by the wayside.

I had someone that needed re-applied buffs. I was at the squill caves, and so was she. We both had major BF so the buffs weren't going to be enough to beat the former buff. The solution of course was to kill her. Due to the fact that she was buffed, and I was still in the process of levelling combat, this took an extremely long time. After I got her up and called my droid, SWG just died on me. It took way too long just to re-apply buffs. The buffing was singificantly shorter than getting her to the point where she can be buffed.

Simply duel, incapacitate, DB and rez; buffs are gone, ready for new ones.If they take off there armor so as not to incur damage there is no penalty that I am aware of.Of course you might run across someone that would kill you in the duel just to be a PITA.

I like this idea, but it needs refinement.
Such a pill could not effect food buffs, spice buffs, or entertainer buffs.
While food doesn't really need to be unbuffed as they stack, spice buffs in particular shouldn't be effected because peeps could use it to avoid the downer. Mind buffs just need a different method of killing the buffs.
I agree that a 'Normalize Pack' to specifically kill doctor buffs would be great. Would make it much easier to sync up with your team mates if you're a late comer to the group.
For mind buffs, which don't take any resources to apply and therefore shouldn't take any to kill, I would suggest a /shakeoffmindbuffs command to facilitate getting rid of unwanted mind buffs.

Wait a minute Why give Chefs something else to sell?
No Combat Medics Get no Money right? Absulutely no Profite UNLESS they Disease Entertainers for a chunk of Change.
Why not give the Combat Medics a Unbuffing Stim or something to that Effect?
Food is something that wears off for awhile. Why do we haved to have it to Wear off? Its a perm thing thats needed alot
Or maybe Combat Medics could make something where You sell So they don't haved to Be around. Not a stim-like
Where people have it in there Invortorys but only Combat medics Can Make. I guess thats Like the "pill" Idea ya know.
