Hi All

I have a quick question. I make buff packs primarily for my personal use so i generally am not overly concerned with making them "L33t." I am usually happy with 1800ish, 2.5 hour...

However, I've come to notice that nothing requires Advanced Bio Effects Controllers or Advanced CRDM or Advanced LS or Advanced SDS... I have always used the regular versions of these items, like teh schematics call for.

If it possible to use the Advanced versions of these components inplace of the regular ones that the schematics call for? And if so, is it worth doing?

TIA

Garrin,

Yes, you can always substitute an advanced component in any schematic that calls for a subcomponent. In general, you will get much better results by using the advanced components instead of regular components. The power rating of the subcomponents are added to the power of the final product 1 for 1, so using an advanced solid delivery shell instead of the non-advanced version can add 40 points to the buff pack power (100 points to the enhancement of the patient). Of course, that would mean that you would need a lot of herbivore meat for the aCRDMs, but you will have to figure out if that is worth it to you or not.

The other thing to note, is that the advanced biological effect controller will give you 10-15 additional charges in your buff packs. That's a very nice boost for some fairly easily obtained resources.

You can also substitute janta blood for a biological effect controller in any schematic for an even bigger boost to the final product power. I don't know if there are loot substitutions for the other doctor subcomponents - if anyone knows of any, please post them here or in another thread.

while on Flurry, don't visit Ojes Yobe's Liquidation Vendors just 800M from Theed starport on Naboo (neg5219 3419) - cause they ain't there anymore! They are now exclusively located in Mos Athens Mall

Thanks!

I had just figured out that you can use the advanced ones in place of the regular ones. Found some Lok Wheat and Tat Fiber in my house so I made one and sure enough, it can go in my buff packs. And I see what you mean about the benefit, the advances was easily triple the quality of the regular ones I have.

As for the Janta Blood, I never knew that! I had 6 bottles of it in my house on a shelf collecting dust. luckily they all came from the same Janta so the serial numbers were correct. Thanks for the tips.
