Thread: help with climbing the DOC tree

Hi i've recently got myself a second account, to support my main character and guild mates. i'm currently master medic with by new toon, and wish to go Master DOC. can anyone suggest the best route inwhich to go???

In order to get the healing tree you have a few routes:
1) Heal Tumblers
2) Heal Dancers/Musicians
3) Sit at spaceport healing wounded who come through
4) Go hunting with Large groups
5) Heal a pets woundsthat has been flame'ed by a commando
Then in order to get the crafting XP you also have a few different methods:
1) Make Advanced Biological Effect Controllers (takes 18 units of Tat Fiberplast and 18 units of Lok Wheat)

2) Craft stims and buff packs that you can use yourself

There's a great FAQ at the top of the page that has all this information. This method works, and is very fast. I hit my xp cap almost constantly, and have to go look for training.
For the crafting, just make Advanced Biological Effect Controlers. Get several Crafting devices so you can make them back-to-back with no delay.
For the medical xp, find a buddy to tumble-to-standing in a looped macro. Time your heals so that he's almost out of action before you hit, as your xp is generated from the number of points healed. Also be sure to use STIM-Bs for this. Grab the first two boxes in the Wound branch and you can start using enhancements. Call your pet, enhance it, store it. Rinse and repeat.
Admitedly this is not the most gameplay-oriented way of getting there, but it works, and will get you out on the field in no time.

Hi Neogame,
If you plan to support as a field doctor:
Climb up Doctor 0-4-0-0 first so you can Revive Players. Then climb up 4-4-0-0 so you can heal poison and disease. Sometimes you'll have to pick up1 or 2 medicine use boxes along the way to use the more advanced cures but you should be fine with level As for PvE.
If you plan to be a buffer:
Go up 0-4-4-0 first and get yourself some bivoli, +25 wound treatment clothes, and a 110 med rating droid.

And if you are grinding by healing pets, a good thing to do is climb the med use tree first, then you can use the higher level wound packs.. and get nice big whopping 2k xp heals..

thanks guys, going more field doc than buffer. so looks like it the first two trees (+ crafting as i go along) thanks for the help

if you're going for master, grind to 0440 first, then buy a set of good buffs. You'll get paid to grind the last tree; you can even start buffing at 0240 for cheap. You get mad XP buffing with 110 droid 25 clothes and bivoli

Wait, you can craft back to back? As in multiple crafts at one time? I seriously had no idea. How do ya do this?

I am curious about this bit;

This gives you Med Use of 90 right?
I am 0441 and I have a 110 med droid, a wooly BE 25/25 shirt and bivoli, but I am assuming I will only be able to buff using buff packs with a med use of 90 or less, is this correct? I have some 91 Med use buff packs and can't use them, it says I need 91 med use.
If this is the case, where am I likely to find low level buff packs for sale, without having to make them myself, I haven't found anything other than Buff Pack D's. Everywhere I looked yesterday on Corellia and Naboo (Farstar) had none of the lower level ones, so I wondered whether you can get Med Use Skill tapes to get my med use up to 91, but couldn't find any of these either.
Is my thinking flawed here, as I would like to buff my friends, but atm I cannot, and I didn't necessarily want to do more than Doc 0440.
Any help would be appreciated.
