Here's my idea,
You go to the Doctor's office to get a check-up, or for him to tell you what's wrong and right with you, so you can go home and make yourself feel better. Or perhaps do surgery on you, all of these things are somewhat reflected in the game in the form of "healing", with stims and woundpacks and others. What we don't do is pills, what you actually buy from the pharmacy or from a mart. Tylenol, Advil, Allergy relievers and all of these things that say "24 hour relief" "Nasal decongestant"...you may now begin to understand my drift. The doctor in this idea must acquire schematics for pharmeuticalsthat allow for such things as "Dizzy relief", not just an instant dizzy or intimidate alleviation, but more like a buff in the sense that you are "immunized" to the effects of dizzy. Now people, I realize that with smuggler and chef in the game, this would not be possible, or it would make doctor way to powerful. I just thought something along the lines of immunization would be a neat idea to fit SOMEWHERE, and I don't feel like doing the math to figure out where. Another thing to add would be along the lines of "getting sick", now i'm getting a little to realistic on you arn't I. Well this isn't EQ and we don't have Healers or Mages, we actually have professions that reflect real-life ones. You can't have a profession in-game called "Doctor" that is in a sense just a "Mage" that buffs and cures. "Getting sick" would be different from just your average disease or poison, it would happen because you took too many drugs (yes, there is downer, but I mean a LOT of drugs), or perhaps you spent too much time in the wilderness so that you caughtsomething flu-like, where the doctor would have to prescribe a medicine that you would have to take a few times a day.Now calm down, I know this is a little much, butI thought it was cool, and of course not many others care about what I think is cool."Oh FishPaste, it's too much ofa change to the game-engine". You know, maybe ifsome people would quit saying this thedev's would get more done.I've been a doc for a serious amount of time, and sometimes I just don't feel like it.
