Thread: What is wrong with my bot?

I am trying to set up a buff bot for my guild and the thing keeps self buffing randomly when I am not even selected. I made the macro just like it says in the guide up top. The funniest part is, it works fine doing it a few times then just starts buffing himself.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Btw this is for my guild only and in a private house so I am not stealing anyone's bussiness in town so please no flames. Thanks for the info in advance.

Are you making sure to select another, nearbyobject when there's nobody there? If you have nothing selected, you will buff yourself by default.

yeah it was selecting this bag in another room but it may have been to far and was defaulting to me because of that but I have moved the bag into the same room now and it seems to be working

Omg, juust got home from work and the damn thing has burned up 2 whole sets of buffs with the backpack in the same room and selected **edit** is going on anyone having this problem? I watched it for a entire hour while it was running and I totally thaught it was fine, didn't buff itsself once in that hour. Now I find out that I am wrong and lost 300k worth of cash. Anyone that can help me please respond and thanks.

Anyone have any ideas please I don't wanna look like a big looser to my guild =P and not get this thing working.

I would not want to fight that backpack.. that thing is buffed UP!

place a few items with same name around your house.
Sometimes line of sight causes a problem. hope that helps.

Thanks kestrel, I will try that but why would it matter how many I have if it is selecting atleast one of them?

Ok I have three backpacks all named "meat" on the wall right in front of me it does target one of them and then it still is buffing myself wth? Noone has any problems running these things?

What macro are you using?

well once again IU think I fixed it I think because the backpack was just out of buff range it would just buff me I have it right beside me now and it has worked fine through a few buffs, we will see.......
