Just a quick question ... for the doctors out there that run shops .... and those that sell components ... what happens whent the price of the raw resource far outweighs anything you can sell the finish product for? For example ... on Farstar we haven't had a good lok ww shift in several months .... so the current best ww is lokra which to my best knowledge was about 920 oq though reletively low pe

currently it can be found on the forums for between 35-50 cpu so at best we're looking at 28k per crate just for the wild wheat, and at worst around 50k with no profit whatsoever and not counting the tat fiberplast .... I can't imagine anyone in their right mind buying components at those prices .... so i'm sorta stuck between a rock and a hard place ....

If somthing doesn't change i'm thinking i'm just gonna have to stop making abecs all together or only use my lower quality ww otherwise ....

Basically IMO if you cannot gather your own resources or at least some of them I wouldn't look into buffing the public for Profit.

yeah we carry all med supplies including crates of subs which is where i see a problem .... abecs are what .... 18 units per? which @ 50 cpu is 45k/ crate just for the lokian wheat ... this is where the problem lays ....

I was just wondering if there was anyone else encountering this on other servers .... :/

wow that sounds like a real problem. On starsider we have not had a prblem with the wheat. But we have been on a major dantoonie berries dought. I can only make 143 adv liquid comps now.

As for the lok wild wheat that you guys are getting taxed on......wow all i have to say is where do these poeple exspect to get good prices on there stims if they are chargeing that much? i have a problem with paying any more than 5-10 cpu on stuff that can me mined out of the ground. The main problem lies in the poeple that are willing to pay way to much. If poeple did not pay the outragous price for the minerals the price would not be that high. All i suggest is pass the price along if you have to.

Fortunately, I am on Flurry and we havent been quite as unfortunate in the wild wheat spawns (fairly decent one right now).

However, I think your analysis of the cost structure is a little off. Although I harvest all my own resources (except for the meats), I can put together buff packs which will sell for roughly 50cpu for ALL of the ingredients (roughly 250 ingredients per pack). At that price, a buff-specialist doctor will still be able to make a nice profit for himself (3K cost per patient and our servers going buff price is 10-12K). I do not mind paying up to 50cpu for any resource that I get low on since I always have better than half of the schematic covered by resources that I harvested for less than 1cpu.

Of course, if you are selling aBECs as a product unto itself, or stims, or any other medical product that I can think of you may not be able to turn a profit at the wild wheat pricing you mention. In that case, you will be forced to downgrade your product for a while, or eat a loss on your products to keep your client-base satisfied with the quality of your products.

I'm also on Starsider, the previous poster was correct in saying that we have had a run of bad Dantooine berry fruit, along with non-existent Liquid 4 Petrofuel. It sucks and has for months now. I mastered Doctor again about 4 weeks ago, but I've kept my eyes on the resources, knowing that I would eventually do Doctor again (I love the profession). Even when I mastered it originally (about 4 months ago), liquid 4 was crappy then, but now its downgraded to downright sucky. You can find NO liquid 4 better than OQ =850, PE=150. There are no liquid 4 on any public vendor in the entire galaxy. the ones that I have found on player vendors are the liquid 4 stats listed above. I'm bad off because I'm running out of my crates of Advanced Chemical Duration components. Without those, my buffs will suck royally. So I'm having to start looking for purchasing buffs off of vendors just to have them for myself/guildies, and some to sell to the public.

I have a bunch of class 4 liquid petro with 900+ overall and 800+ pe but i am need the good herb meat. willing to trade 16k herb meat for 16k petro?
