Thread: Doc: Combat Class = Combat XP?

Does anyone know if healing will earn us Combat XP (in addition to medical XP) after the CU?

(assuming the Combat XP stays as a form of advancement)



Perkins - Elder Jedi, Storm Squadron Ace Pilot
Sierpinski - Structures Trader, RSF Master Pilot

Vendors at -161, 2697 Dantooine,
500m from the Mining Outpost

I doubt it....we are considered Close Range Combat Support....not actually fighters.


We are unique because we can considered Combat, but we really aren't

Yeah, I guess I'll have to wait and see on that one. It's just that, most profs (that I've checked) have more than one type of XP to develop, and since Docs will not have crafting XP, I'm wondering if it'll be replaced by some other type of XP.

That's actually a good question. I completley forgot about that little fact.






Yeah it is a good question, but we aren't the only profession to lose XP....Entertainers are losing "wound healing" XP also. I mean they will still have BF healing, but....they are losing 1/2 of their healing ability

We earned Combat xp for awhile there if we healed people during a fight. They snatched that back away from Docs pretty quick though. It was very nice for the time we had it thought.

Yeah, I'm not begging for Combat XP here, but it would be neat if, upon the kill of a target, we got a percentage of Combat XP if we healed applicable combatants during the fight. It's just a number, but it might make the doc feel more integrated into the combat.

Ya, may encourage me to group and fight. Fighters get thier respected weapon xp and combat xp, don't see why we couldn't get the same.

I'm not sure, but most of the live servers are still in Phase 1 and the Persuasion quest is on. I'm west coast, so can anyone check the changes on this?

I like that idea, get combat exp for healing damage dealers upon the death of the foe.
