... I finally managed to get on TC and checking out the CU. Wow, this is so horribly bad and bugged I don't even know where to start my rant. If that makes it live I'm gone for sure. What were they thinking? lol, even Ultima Online is better than this garbage called CU. I am so sorry for the programmers who invested their work into this updowngrade - the designers of this game must be on crack.

It's day one....relax...contribute to the Bug threads...use /bug IG.....It's day ONE....the first day anyone other then the Devs have touched the game. It's Bugged and Broken because it's not complete.

If you don't have anything constructive to say, just don't post! If you have specific things you don't like about the CU on Test Center, list them. Just saying you don't like the CU and that the devs are on crack helps no one.
1) Remember that Test Center is a testing environment. Right now the focus is testing the starting profession experience. Since half the people on TC currently don't understand that, there's a lot of confusion and unneeded outcry. Also, there are inevitably bugs that make the experience less that satisfactory. That always happens before a publish goes live, thus the reason it's on Test Center.
2) Because so many are interesting in experiencing the CU, there is tremendous lag anywhere within a kilometer of Bestine, most noticable around the starport. This will not be the case on a live server, obviously.
3) Please check out all of the new changes before you rant or decide to hate how the game is changing. Sure, we can't play in god mode any more. But most people think it's more fun to have a challenge and to have to work in a group to defeat a powerful enemy. Give it a chance and then post your feedback.

I agree... There is still plenty of time for changes to be made to the system. Thats why its in testing. I dont like all the changes myself,the removal of stims for instance, but I agree with the DEVS trying to steer the game to a more group playing enviroment. This game has become a solo experience. You go out with your buffs and your comp armor and you grind by yourself. Thats not the way it was intended to be. There will be some changes and well just have to deal with it. And I would caution everyone before they decide they are going to quit to give it a chance and see what the final changes will be.

The guy has every right to vent. Don't try to reduce the boards to your version of how it should be...
If you don't like the vent threads, skip over them and stay in the "we love the CU" threads...

In my opinion they did that because they didn't like the shape of the economy. By releasing resource kits, knowing we'd spend millions on them to convert to avian, then removing avian from the tree, now the economy is more to their liking...

The money spent on the resource kits is STILL in the economy. All that happened was it was transfered to a new person. Ergo, no changes save for the doc getting the shaft.

There is "we love the CU" threads? Where, I have yet to find them? Personaly I am looking for the cynidepill for my charater. I quit EQ becouse I was sick of being a cleric, I wanted something where I could cut out ahead of others, where I had the ability to show my passion in my results and I have been doing that on SWG, I have some of the best heals and buffs on the ahazi server. People send me tells to join them on large hunts and are willing to wait or postpone the hunt untill I can be thier becouse I am KNOWN as one of the best doctors and combat medics on the server. With this "combat upgrade" all my hard work is gone, wiped clean bythis so called "upgrade" and "Magical healing". If I wanted "magical healing" then I would have stuck with EQ, where one high lvl cleric is as good as any other. Guess I might as well look at WOW or maybe makeing a diffrent class in EQ, becouse I will be destroyed if the CU comes out with thecurrent plans.

Actually I take that back...(a few less drinks in the system and I can think clearer...).
I didn't say the devs "removed" the money from the economy, I said they didn't like the shape of the economy, meaning, IMHO, the "rich" doctors who have a fortune in resources stored away.
Along come the resource kits, and we start buying. Yes the money is redistributed, which was their intent. Now instead of 10 ppl having 100 million, there are many, many around with 3-4 million. Combine that with the fact that our vast resources of avian are now most likely worth a 10th of what they used to be, and the economy is now much more to their liking...evenly distributed...
(Of course we just said the same thing I realize after rereading it again, but I just wanted to clarify that my post wasn't about them removing money, but redistributing it...)
However, in the end the crafting docs are still getting the shaft...
