It's not as bad as I thought, but still kinda sucks.
You do not have to be master BE to craft meds. Last I checked, at master BE you do not get more med experimentaion or schematics. There is one tree in BE that has the Doctor/CM crafting and the rest is from medic. Medic gives +60 experimentation points (10 of this is at master medic) and there is 40 more in the BE tree, so basically you HAVE to be master medic in order to receive all 100 experimentation points. I have calculated it out and it takes 132 points to get all schematics and experimentaion points for med crafting. We can add master doc to it for 63 more points bringing the total to 195 leaving 55 points. So I guess it is better than I thought, but still costs us 55 points to craft compared to the way things are now. At least you don't have to be master BE. Of course this is all subject to change.......

Actually, there are 5 points in BE and 6 in medic right now (with the 1 at master medic). We've already been told this will be "fixed", though we weren't told how. I'm expecting the point at master medic to go away, which iwll make medical crafting really cheap, in skill point terms.

The skill point cost for a Doc to get the full BE crafting is 169 skill points by my calculations:
Novice Scout + Hunting 4 = 29
Novice BE + Engineering Techniques 4 = 20
Medic 4-0-4-4 = 57
Master Doc = 63

You are absolutely right!! Originally (as of early Saturday) the +10 exp and +10 assembly that are now in novice BE were in the master medic box, so it's alot better now. Cool, lets just hope it stays this way.
