So whats the ideal doc weapon/armor im having trouble deciding and advice would be great

that completley depends on what other skills you have.

For example , i'm a master doc and working on my Rifleman Mastery.

Full composite (minus helm) with a t-21 rifle works great for me.

TKA for the melee defenses (dont really need armor), a bunch of BE clothes with melee damage resists, and a really nice advanced composite helmet sliced for HAM (to block agianst head shots/mind damage)

Only wear the helmet when goin up against NPC's that shoot back, leave it off when fighting melee critters

Master Doc/Master TKA with Ubese for PvE is very nice, especially with the powerboost. Doubly so if you are Zabrak.

Master Doc/Master Carbineer is also very nice, as the Ham costs are nothing to worry about, and you can maintain your distance in group fights.

Pistoleer is ok as well, but I find the damage output to be on the low side.

anything that has really low HAM costs, especially to the mind

also might think about migrating all your mind stats to max out, and stocking up on muon gold and food buffs, because you picked the three proffessions with the worst mind cost for specials.
