Just wondering how people do when you experiment on different stuff when crafting.

What I was wondering is do you use all the exp points at ones or use 2 at the time or how ?

I'm only a Medic so far though so I guess I'll get better at it later on.

Would be fun to see if everyone does the same way or if there's any difference.

usually 3 or 4 at a time. I'll do 5 or 6 when trying to get amazing results in one catagory so I have a extra point or so for another experimentation catagory. Its a good way to make a 21c/10p ABEC into a 21c/12p ABEC. Of course being having all the experimentation points helps also

At medic stick to 1 at a time. No ifs, ands or buts about it. 1 point at a time will ensure you have a lot less failures. Now once you get into the Doc levels of crafting you can start to consider doing more. The only time I tend to do all experimentation points at once (even at Master level) is when I'm working on making a schematic for use in a a factory for a larger run. In that situation since the more you click the experiment button the higher the complexity of the item goes. The higher the complexity, the longer it takes to make each item (8 seconds per point of complexity.) So with a larger factory run I want to experiment less, so I just use up the EPs in as big a chuncks as I can.

Some of you long-time Docs didn't know that? That's all the more reason, IMHO, we need to convince SOE to document this stuff better. Either in crafting guides on the website or in the in-game Holocron. There's just too much of this kind of stuff that never gets explained.

Yes I agree. I remember asking on the tailor forum that we should also have something said about the 25 cap in skill mods but the answer was that they want to let us find some things out by ourselves. So /shrug

And no I really didn't know, but I have only made factory crates of components a few times so far so it never occured to me lol. Really thanks for the tip.

I'll chip inthat I always use as many experimentation points as I can in factory run items. Sure, I do get more failures that I scrap, but I can produce more items, too. I've found that factory runs of 1000 take several hours less if you experiment in the largest chunks possible.
