If you can find +20 (or more) in skill tapes or armor attachments, you can have an extra 2 points. The cap for the skill is at +125 (+100 for master doc, +25 in tapes). Each 10 points of skill is worth 1 experimentation point in the crafting tool.

They are, however, very rare and very expensive
