Thread: Is a Master Doctor not a Master of their craft?

Okay, I'm sitting here making my schematics for my buff packs....

This is a rough guess, but 2 out of 10 tries, at the most, I can get a buff pack made with all experiments being great successes....about 5 of those have failures in them, the rest are a mix between good/moderate

With a 42 rating crafting station, and +100 medicine assembly, why is it almost impossible to make a good buff pack? I thought being a master would make my life easier....

I usually geat great success on all mine, however, since the vehicle patch, i have been getting higher frequency of Crit fails.

They might be a master, but if you give them brittle parts to work with, things still break.

The OQ and Mall of your resources affects this a lot.

Crafting single items is always going to be variable. The idea is to get a large amount of each resource you require, experiment until you get a really nice schematic, then make a crate of buff packs in a factory.

uh, yeah, kinda tough to do that with enhance packs though.....

I fudge it up a lot too.

The BEST ones are the ones who spend way to much time gobbling up the resources to the dot...I'm kinda a casual Master Doc, I buff for 1500+ I'm happy --

Fails happen so often on D enhances it isnt funny. Even in a research center, I had to make 11 healths before I got a decent scematic today. This isnt just a one time thing either, Im starting to settle for 700 power substat buffs because of all the fails.

No it's not. I carrya crate of each enhance pack and pop a new pack into my inventory when the charges get low. I made them back in September and I haven't crafted any since. I did it by myself and it was a long-term project starting in August. When the required resources had good stats I harvested and bought stacks of them like crazy, stockpiling the best stuff I could find.

I probably have enough buff packs to last a year or more of gameplay, plus I've supplied other doctors in my PA.Wherever I go, I hand out free buffs to overt members of my faction, my personal contribution to the GCW.

Don't feel daunted by the size of the task --just start saving up those nice resource stacks until you can make crates of killer buff packs. It's worth doing this with every type of Doctor medicine that you use -- then you're ready to REALLY play the game.If you're still crafting individual items as you need them, you're only half a doctor -- the stats will vary and you'll run out.

If you intend to be a doctor long-term, take a long-term approach to the crafting.

Actually, the problem here is perception.

ANY buff D pack is a good buff D pack.

Much better then As...

The quest for a perfect pack, is all well and nice, but with the way we get random rolls, generally a futile quest.

If you managed to get 1000 resorces and have a schematic with all crit sucesses... you'd still roll a low buff w/ it.

As a master Doc, you can (with good materials), make the best of the best type (D) buff. that does not mean it should be easy, and you should be able to make one 1 out of every 2 tries.

There is no failure on factory crafting. It has to be hard to make the best items by hand (or in schematics).. Because you will be able to make HUNDREDS of those items for no risk (with a lot of charges each, I might add).

A few failures on crafting the schematic, doesn't come close to evening off that balance...
