Thread: Correspondent Swap (Mon. Dec. 15, 2003)

Heya,

Zarlor and I were told that the swap would be made offical today.

Although, none of the board info has been switched yet, it should be soon.

For those of you just tuning in, Zarlor has RL issues (good ones) that were going to cut his time on the boards a great deal. We suggested that he and I switch places.

As you can attest, he is a great Correspondent, and a great asset to the medical professiosn as a whole (he even did temp duty for CM at one point). We really didn't want to see him go.

His move to Medic, will allow him to keep fighting the good fight for all medical professions, and will change his focus from short-term fixes, to the much larger general medic issues (gameplay, fundimentals etc.) stuff that will affect all Healers. As such, his issues will continue to affect everyone here... and I expect he will cross-post quite a bit still.

His paperwork time (which for Doctor is a lot of time indeed), is cut down a lot in medic, and spread over longer timeframes. We get to keep a great asset, and person. And at a time when so many correspondents are leaving, it is great to see someone able to stay.

----------------------

That being said, with the Top 5 questions pending, we will still be finishing up our last respective top 5s in our old forums.

Zarlor's last vote threads will continue to be open until TH gives us a new date for the next Top 5, or changes the plan. The Threads and votes are great, and there is no reason to re-do something that is working well. I'll most likely just steal the process for the next one anyway, since I was gonna steal it for Medic in te first place

-----------------------

Just to be clear, that I do have the background to be here... and am not some weirdo with delusions...

I was in beta 3, and played both Doctor and CM (to master). I have played master Doc on and off since release. The debates between Texxie and I were somewhat infamous in Beta, and were used by the devs to get a very good angle at player viewpoints on healing. Those loud debates, along with my background as a master healer, is what got me the Medic slot in the first place (Skills which Z also has, which is why he's extremely qualified to be there now)

My current doc is not a master (I switched my medical skills to a different character, and am rebuilding them). He is only 1's and 2's ATM. He should be a master soon. I was caught a bit off-guard by the switch, since we came up with this solution so fast.

Anyway, I hope to follow at least passibly in Z's footsteps...

We gave him a gold watch.. but he ate it. ...And then he made a mess on the Medic Correspondent Forum carpet... but that's ok.

Lets get back to work.

(Please remember to bombard the medic forums with /medicalforage requests... We now return you to your normal Doctor Forums)

Lol, My server used to be lsited as Chilastra, but as things have expanded I play on 3 servers about evenly now (see my sig for /tell information )... though my Chilastra Characters are more advanced by a large amount.

As for PAs... few of my EQ/UO friends will switch to SWG until a lot more work is done .. But I pester them daily...

Ah, a fellow Everquestian (is that a word?). What Class was your main?

Anyway, welcome aboard. Picture Full House meets Resident Evil and you have the Doctor Boards, it's great!

EQ main lol.. well over 3 years, I had one of everything 45+... my highest character when I canceled at SWG release was a 58 bard (cat). I had 6 55's though (necro, cleric, ranger, SK, chanter, and BL (mini-troll gators rule)... POP was rough, because the guilds I was in weren't large... all of them started recruiting anyone who was breathing to get enough people I played on Tribunal [the day it went up], 7th hammer, E'ci, and Fennin Ro.

I never bought the Froggy pack...it was all wearing thin at that point.

I also Beta tested AO, but never bought the game for live.

Welcome aboard Traigus! I'm happy that we have a competant person following in Zarlor's footsteps, and its great that Zarlor will still be fighting the fight for Medics instead of Docs.

You know...I never got into EQ, no idea why Anyway, welcome Traigus!
