First off I have mastered doc two times. The first time was when I first bought the game nearly 1 year ago, with no exploits, and barely leaving the doaba gurfel hospital. I have mastered doc a second time as well as combat medic because I love this profession. I like to role play my doc, but thats just my choice I like to sit in hospitals etc. and choose not to be the "buff doc" but I see the necessity in the galaxy. I went to a buff doc today outside of coronet with my Imp MBH and I stood in line like usual, it came to be my turn and I tipped the usual 10k per his spam. To my dismay, he began to buff someone else. After I asked him why I wasn't getting buffed he told me that I cut in line (not true) I was infuriated, and created a macro and began spamming that the doc had stole my credits. He than claimed he never received my /tip. Now, I have been a doc, and have also been in Coronet and very crowded spam locations, the thing is unless you have a macro running or are not sitting in front of your screen you would see the /tip spam across your screen as well as the log of the /tip as well as your bank account jump. This dude was an obvious cheat, and obvious thief and just an all around bad player. He gives the doc profession a really really bad name. What do you guys think about it?
The docs name is Molbero Mun and he is on Valclyn

I think he thinks you cut the line and that if you didn't bank tip it's possible he never saw it, nor has the time to search through so much spam to see if he got tipped. If you did bank tip then he is a cheat and should be reported. But had you just talked with him about it you might have got your buffs, rather than spamming he is a cheat and only giving yourself a bad name.

It was not a /banktip. I gave him about 4 minutes before I began my spam attack. The thing is at first he claimed I cut in line not that he did not receive my /tip. After I started spamming he changed his story and said he never got my /tip. He reported me a bunch of times and got a CSR to warn me so I guess I got the short end of the stick two times.

i'm normally not a buff doc either but i do sit my happy ass down in coronet every once and again. first off i hated getting cash tips b/c the only message you get is the system message on screen and the line in your chatbox... well, coronet gets pretty packed with chat bubbles/emotes/sun glare/what have you and for that reason i could rarely see the onscreen message and i doubt others can as well... also since the spatial is being flooded by the conversations of travelers and peddlers that line in the chatbox gets drowned out as well... so i very much believe that if you just sent a cash tip to a doc in one of the busiest places in the galaxy and he missed it, it was an honest mistake... as for the line cutting thing it depends how organized the doc was, i've seen some line-nazi's that would make any obsessive-compulsive proud, then theres me... i usually have a semi-circle with one or two people sitting behind me (yes someone does occasionally start a round of kumbaya) my solution to the problems of cash tips and buff order were mostly solved when i opened a new chat window dedicated solely to system messages, since then i've had no problem with the issue
on a side note, to those that buff publicly my hats off to you, its not something i could do day in, day out

Absolutely.
I've been that poor bastich parked outside Coronet starport buffing the hordes, and it is a very stressful occupation. The /tells pour in, the crowd gets disorganized, you're trying to manage a droid, food, buff packs and the incessant NOISE of people. When one person slips a cash tip at you, everything has to stop while you hunt for the chat. It's the reason no one does cash tips, why Docs ask clients to get in a line, why macros are so prevalent and why we occasionally miss things like this. As a Doc, you should know that cash tips are a buffer's worst nightmare.

Sorry for being off-topic.
Just had to tip my hat to those of you who can do it for hours, day after day, week after week (and the very few who can do it month after month), regardless of how much or little you charge. It sure ain't as easy as punching a macro button as some will haveus believe.

Just my 2 Cents!
Lines are dumb, the people have to stand in a line, after every buff they have to moveup a few steps, until its their turn, then the doctor has to watch for the tip. just a pain in the ass for the costumers if you ask me!
hat I have found that works best is BANK TIPS! No Line, just let them all gather around you in a circle. Make a macro that says " Buffs; +xxxx All 6 Stats! x hxx mins Duration! xxk, BANK TIP ONLY!; Buffs; " If you only accept bank tips then you have a record of the tip and do not have to go through lines of chat to make sure they tipped. Use you mail box as the LINE, buff in the order the tips were recieved, Its called the Queue, delete their mail and buff them, then go to the next, and so on, if you can not see the person that tipped, call out thier name " So and So, where are you, its your turn!" Also this way the costumers can tip you and have a seat and go use the restroom or have a cigerette, whatever they might want to do, they dont have to sit infront the computer and take a few steps up every 2-3 mins, there also wont be any line jumping/cutting! If you want to take it a step farter, while your buffing, inbetween each buff, start to make a list of the bank tips in the order they were recieved, not on paper, in the Spatial chat box, something like this " LINE--- So and So, Peter, Paul , Mary, Bob...", this way the costumers can get an idea of when it is going to be thier turn. If your queue gets to long, this can be a bit much to do, in that case i just say something like "Sorry the queue is very long, please be patient and everyone will get buffed when it is thier turn!" also, when you start to get low on buffs, have a macro that says " Sorry No More Buffs, Only the people that already paid will be buffed, NO MORE TIPS, IF YOU TIP ME I WILL NOT BUFF AND KEEP YOUR TIP!" before you use this macro make sure you check your mail and write down or remember the last name in the queue because you will get people that try to be sneaky and bank tip you anyway thinking you will not notice and buff them. Finish off your line and go on about your business!
Note: This is mainly for hardcore doctors that buff a lot, if you like to mingle with your costumers, thank them or talk to them then this is not for you, I do not answer any /tells when I buff, I dont say anything like "Thank You, Your all set "so and so", have a good day!" I just hit my macro text every few mins and watch my mail and buff in the order my tips come in, If you like to talk it only makes things slower in my opinion and makes it harder to consentrate on when your bivoli is going to wear off, or what stats you have already applied. It may sound harsh but thats just the way I do it, everything runs smoothly and timely! People will walk up and say "How much doc? whats the stats and duration?" It is all in your macro, just tap that key and keep buffing, if someone ask if they can cash tip you, tap your macro or ignore them, i mean you cant pay for your account by handing SOE cash, so why should someoneask to cash tip you if your stating that your only accepting bank tips! Make them walk thier lazy butt to the bank and put the cash into thier bank account, and if they cry about the 5% charge then oh well, they are going to whine about everything anyways!

Although I don't public buff anymore, I have yet to fail by creating a new tab in the chat box and naming it "Doctor" with system messages and instant messages, you can even set the color of the cash tip and "you have mail" messages so that they are easy to spot and your default chat is public.
As for that situation, that kind of sucks, could be a big misunderstanding on both ends.

I've changed the color of the word credits, health, action, stamina, etcand my system messages to this same blue. I've also created a buff chat window. Inmy buff chat window this is what you see:
You eat Bivoli. blah blah blah
Player has tipped you 12000 credits.
You enhance Player's health for 2488.
You enhance Player's action for 2488.
You do not have power for that device.
No valid medicine found.
You have new mail.
Player says "How much are your buffs?"
I drag the buff chat window to the side so I don't have to keep clicking back and forth from there to spatial. I have no problems scrolling back to check for credits as I only allow system messages in that particular window. Orange is easy to spot when scrolling. You can create new windows, name the tabs and specify exactly what you commands you want to show. I have my mailbox open and I do not delete the previous player's banktip until it's the next player's turn. I have all my buttons filled on my toolbar for different scenarios .. High BF, Telling Player's price & stats, You're Welcome, Thank You, Single stat buffs, etc. If someone asks in spatial & in tells how much my buffs are I got a button for those too.
If the doctor doesn't have one of these windows, checking the combat window will also give you the same results. I've noticed some people don't even realize that, that information shows there. With all the spam going on in spatial .. that's the best place to look. I've only had one person tip prior to it being their turn and of course I have a button for that too.

I would recommend taking bank tips and using the line system. Much more organized and people will know when it's their turn. And if you let someone ahead of the line with a huge amount of money, it makes you a corrupt doctor.

I wish I had a credit for every time someone in the buff line says they tipped me when they had not. Most the time it’s an honest mistake, such as they had someone else selected when they tipped, sometimes it’s not. I find it hard to believe a doctor would go out of their way to rip off one potential customer 10 K when they could make that much actually buffing in less time than it would take to argue with you. So I suspect there was some misunderstanding that we can not help you with since we do not have the facts. In any event I do not buff until I’ve received payment and I will not discuss or argue about it other than to let you know I’ve not received payment, I will simply move to the next in line.
As to the line, when I’m buffing I try to be as fair as possible, but the line is my line. I don’t like being the line referee but it comes with the territory. If I tell you to go to the back you had best do so. I will not spend time discussing or arguing the point, I’ll tell you once and then it’s /ignore. I don’t like the bank tip line as it does not allow the customers to see where they are in line or the option to move to a shorter line.

LOL..whatever you need to do to enjoy your gaming experience. I do different things with my Master doc toon. Just remeber to stay a "buff doc" because if you keep burnin those bridges with that /ignore command than you may find yourself a corpse that no one can hear crying for help and the last time I checked I couldn't rez myself.
