What are you maiking with it?

Assuming you are using it for ABEC's I would go with B. PE doesnt really matter, unless your going for power, whereas OQ has alot to do with the charges (66% i think). So with B you'll probably sacrifice 1-4 points of power for an extra charge or two. I think most people would rather have an extra charge than a couple points of power, on the final product.

Both look like good wheats though, we could sure use some on valcyn

A rule of thumb you could use to compare the two resources is to use this equation:

(OQ + OQ + PE) / 3

This roughly translates to how the resource is used during the experiment phase of crafting. In this case, the quality of your two resources comes out to:

A = 739

B = 723

Your first wheat edges out your second wheat, but not by a whole lot.

Of course, you're probably using this wheat for ABECs, in which case I generally choose charges over power. For charges, the higher OQ wheat is better. With the second wheat, you might be able to add an extra charge or two, and you probably won't even lose any power.

Let’s assume you are making ABECs. There are a lot of variables so the answer is not simple.

I did the following example using my modified version of Wizenobi’s buff calculator (not sure how accurate it is). It assumes that you either have good enough success and/or enough experimentation points to get to the maximum values based on the resources.

So one would result in more charges, the other in more power.

Ahh, now this is what makes crafting fun.

You need to tell usthree other pieces of informaiton.

A. How many exp points do you have?

B. What are the stats of the Tat fiber you will be using?

C. Is your goal max power or max charges?

Max Charges

General plan is to max charges then use any points left over to boost power.

A. Using Great Tat fiber and 12 point doc, then I would go with A. With great tat fiber you will still get a high number of charges (24+) with either wheat. The A wheat will allow you to use the extra points to boost the power to about the 16 range. The B wheat, however, has such a low PE that you will be limited on adding power and be stuck at about the 10 range. So in the end you will have about the same charges butsignificant lower power.

B. Using average tat fiberand only 10 points. Go with B. It will add a noticible more charges and that is your goal.

Max Power

Go with A no matter what your fiber or points

My understanding from this that the maximum for craftable ABECs is 15 charges and 30 power. Is this not true?

I believe the max charges to be 25. I have hit 24 so I can say for sure that 24 can be done.
