Thread: Any docs suspended/banned from buffing?

LOL one-starred for an honest question? Why? Because you hate someone who buffs for money?
You've never heard of a One-Star Monkey before? Hmmm, maybe that's just what they call them in the PlanetSide forums...
Anyway, it's some loser who has nothing better to do than open all of the threads on the front page, or on your "List all posts by this user" page, and one-star the hell out of everything. Supposedly, the people who do this frequently have their star weight reduced, so that their one-star sprees quickly turn into a waste of time for them. Don't sweat the one-stars, they're quickly cancelled out by the real ratings of the more mature forum users. ![]()

Forgive me if I missed the thread on this, but I was wondering if anyone who buffs for a living at starports has been affected by SOE's solution to the credit dupe problem. I have not and have not heard of others that have, but am curious about it. I have heard of bigger sellers being targeted.

Off the top of my head, I can't think of any Docs that have been banned due to receiving duped creds for buffs. Ironic, considering how prevalent the bank tip scam was a while back.

A while back, when you'd get a bank tip, the only notification you'd get is an e-mail, from the person who sent it, informing you of you recieving it.
So, You'd get e-mails like this:
From: Joe
Subject: Bank transfer complete
Message: You've recieved 10000 credits in escrow from Joe.
Well, that's not so hard to copy, and just send back out to docs, without actually tipping us the money. Watching your cash flow was the only way to be sure, and some of the cheaters would sit there YELLING at you that they tipped you, thus you'd loose business.
Now, it's fixed though. The bank tips come from "bank", as they really should have all along
