How many times has this happened? I am walking through the desert, and I see some poor guy getting owned by a creature and wanting to help a fellow gamer not die, I heal him. Then I get /tell about what a punk I am...he was trying to die....and jawjacking like a grabastic snotball. When its easier to die than walk back, it is a problem.

I have never had that happen to me however I do agree that dying instead of walking back to town because it is quicker is not good game play. I guess if they ever start the insurance terminal it will stop this in a hurry... I have always tried to heal players in the field that look to be in trouble and every time I have received a heartfelt thankyou.

I have also healed players who were getting munched by the local Mauler(hate them) or a local beast. I have received many thanks for doing this but it does raise an issue. Should a Doctor or Medic heal without an invite?

whats worse is when the person you are trying to help is... guess... overt... why would you be overt and out in the middle of nowhere? no idea... besides imps having at-sts pve'ing everything in sight and rebels bringing troops along to help level (wth)?

I've had that happen to me multiple times. It is just faster for people to just clone back to a city then to walk back, especially with the lack of any real penalities...

I always heal first and ask questions later, since it doesn't impact their XP like in other games.

In the field I always heal first ask later if an individual appears to be getting owned. Bad manners? Perhaps, but 99% of the time the individual is grateful not annoyed.

Cruseydr I LOVE your sig. Can ya give me some insight into how you did it?

I never had that happen to me yet but if it did I'd just repond with a "Sorry, won't happen again." and make a note never to heal that player ever again. Dying not to run is mad lame and a healer is lookin to help out and someone is gonna jaw you out? That stinks. List him somewhere and don't let your stims touch his putrid flesh again.

This is a temporary phenomonon.

This will not happen once they reactivate the insurance cost as well as equipment degradation with upcoming change a assure you.

Just note his name down so once insurance get turned on and nobody would take death-express and you see him out there needing help, ask him if he is sure he need help.

if he is really sure

really really really sure

even then it is best to wait several minutes to see if he recall or not.

and ask something in writing before you heal or rez him
