Just to give everyone something of an update, the Medicl Professions (and other stuff) designer, Ben Hanson, has gracioulsy let me know that some of the issues being looked at for us include:

  • Enhance Packs Ease Of Use experimentation (where it would seem to to make it worse, instead of better)

  • ABEC XP issues

  • Usefulness of QuickHeal

  • Usefullness of First Aid

  • Power of Cure Posions and Disease as compared to similar level CM Poisons and Disease

  • /healState and /healEnhance arguments (as in acting like /helwound to just pick the first pack needed)

  • Adv Resilience Compound not loading

Those would all be parts of, in at least some manner, issues #4, #8, #10, #17, #28 and #43 according to the current Big List ordering. (New vote coming soon, so ordering may change for next week.)

Keep in mind that the absolute earliest we could see any kinds of fixes like for any of the above stuff would be in teh next full Publish, which has yet to be announced. Publishes normally only come out once a month and they go to Test Center for at least a week or two before going Live. The current one seems to be runnign a tad late, though. At any rate that means that the absolute earliers would could even hope to see some kind of fix on thesego in would be in about 2 weeks, but it is more likely that we won't see anything until the next publish is released, so 6-8 weeks at a guess.

Thanks, Zarlor. If any of these things change and I happen to miss them, please let me know and I'll update the FAQ accordingly.

Also, perhaps I missed it, but what's the ABEC xp issue?

That ABECs are not providing the same XP as even just a regular BEC.

Ok, the new Doc Issues list will be up very shortly (with Vote!). Just wanted to add that a tad more of the specifics for exactly what parts of the issues are being worked on will be included in the new listing.

Hmm, then why are so many posters touting grinding on ABEC's?

ABECs provide 86 or so xp, it's Advanced Liquid Suspensions that provide less xp. A regular liquid suspension provides 36 xp in practice, and Advanced liquid suspension provides a whoping 26!

Yeah, I always thought it was rather silly that I could only do the same First Aid heal as a 2/3/1/1 doc same as I did as a novice medic...

Hmm.. I had on my Issues list that it was ABECs that were giving the wrong XP, and the Dev lists that it was an ABEC that had the wrong XP formula on it.... It wasn't an issue I had ever tested, though, I just relied on you guys to let me know.

I'm finding what mystic_squirrel posted is true. I made some ABECs last night, and was getting a little over double the experience of a standard BEC. I haven't tried advanced CDRM, SDS or LSs yet, as I am just getting in to advanced components.

(Using the ABEC, I like what I see, so it's time to get more specific resources!)
