Hm.... I just made a few crates of StimCs, they were base 550+, at least 30 charges IIRC. My ingredients weren't the best in all cases, but it was all adv. components.

Hail fellow Docs and Medics,

I am currently working my way to Novice Doctor and have a few questions on Advance components:

1. Can I put one Advanced component to make a normal stim pack B? I haven't try this yet so I am very curious.

2. Based on the requirements for Advanced Components, do you think they worth of trying?

3. What exactly will come out when you put 3 advanced components in a Stim pack B schemtic? I heard there are some Adanced stims but I can not find any info on those.

One other unrelated question:

I usually use one OQ 300+ ingredient and another lowerOQ ingredientin making Stims itself and its components. My resulting quality usually ends up with like 7% in Charges and 9% in Effectiveness (sometime lower). Do you think I need to go with higher OQ to get better stats? or this is rather normal?

Thanks in advance.

Advanced componentscan replace any normal component required for to craft a medicine. So if something requires a BEC, you can replace that with an advanced BEC to give the medicine more strength/charges than a normal BEC would get it.

Typically, even theWORST advanced components still have more strength than average normal components. And on the high ends, you can see quite a dramatic difference in the numbers. Run some tests yourself to find out if it's worth it.

IMO though... it's not worth it to use 'em on stims OR wound kits. I reserve all advanced components for my stat buffs. Why? Cos once you get master doc, a decent stim B can easily heal your whole bar anyway (without adv components) and same goes for wound kit Bs without advanced components.... it's just a waste really. So I see nothing wrong with going through all the trouble to gather the extra resources in order to make those advanced components...just as long as you use 'em on the right things =)

Good luck!

Hello!

I would like to respectfully disagree. I use only advanced components (unless I run out of good herbivore meat) in all of my meds. Yes, there is definite overkill with some of my StimEs, but that tends to be very convenient when I'm buffing people to 3k health and action, or healing pets with more. Besides, these StimEs have 70ish charges, so it isn't like they'll run out right away.

Take a look at a typical StimB of mine that I sell on the Bazaar: 35 charges, 340+ heal (when the Dantooine berries are good).

Take a look at the StimCs (yes, I meant C) I see on the same Bazaar: 28 charges, 180 heal. And it takes much more than novice medic to use StimCs.

So from a marketability platform, advanced components are the best way to be competitive, but be prepared to have people emailing you to bring them stims on other planets and stuff when they find a really good one (I've hit 37/390s on StimBs). Its flattering, but makes for a big time sink. Usually they pay my travel costs though.

After saying all that, I definitely would say use the Advanced components, once I started, I never went back!

Be safe out there!

I use 1 liquid suspention in every stim C I make. I am only a novice doctorand one box. I find I can get a 380+ stim with the materials I have. With just one or two advanced components I can give 950+ heals quite often.
