Thread: Factory input hopper bug
Sincethis morningwhen I put items into my factory input hopper they don't show up. They appear to stay in my inventory, but the contents of the input hopper goes up by one. After a while if I close and open the hopper and inventory windows, the item is shown in the input hopper where I placed it, and disappears from my inventory.
This is confusing because it looks like your input hopper isn't accepting anything. I also discovered that if I split a stack of resources while the final item in the inventory is a "ghost" that is actually in the input hopper, the split stack appears to overwrite the item at the end of the inventory (very scary).
If you're seeing this bug, don't worry -- it's just not displaying the moved item correctly. Nothing gets overwritten and you really did move the item into the input hopper. You can still hit "start manufacturing" and the factory will work.
I noticed this happening yesterday too.
/sigh
Just more stuff to deal with when it comes to factories.
Ya I noticed this as well, freaked me out at first but just waiting a few more seconds it eventually moved over. Thought I was gonna lose a weeks worth of harvest ![]()
Same with output hopper. You just gotta remember which ones you already moved.
To "refresh", you just gotta close the window and re-open it.
I heard same with dropping items in house and I will need to check the bank vault.
Oh I forgot to ask. Anyone else having trouble with factories making small crates?
What I mean is let say you making 300 of something, then it makes crate of 50, 50, 50, 50, 50, then crate of 35, 5, 7, 3
I though it was on some that I "pre-pull" from some crate but now I notice this on even sub-components
I had this problem. Here was the kicker. I have two factories about 50m apart. One of them has a magical hopper that won't show crates dropped in it or taken out of it. The other was working just fine. Strangely enough, the 'strange' factory also only showed two options in the menu when I selected it (and this was interminttent). You could only select output hopper and schematic. It didn't show the input hopper at all, which I would expect for a schematic-less factory.
As a note, both factories have been in place since the factory fix meant I didn't have to redeed them again. They were made by different architects at different times, however.
