I have been thinking trying to think of ways to further expand on the doctor profession. What I would like to see implemented would be sort of a stimpack that would damage your oppennet instead of healing them. Yes I know combat medics are the combat profession and if I want to do damage I should go with them, but to me it would be logical that a doctor would know how to create damaging stims as well as healing stims.


Now what I was thinking to offset the ability to do damage you would take health and action damage, or maybe even mind wounds so you wouldn't want to use it all the time as your main weapon. Probably the mind wounds would be better since you could just heal your health and action damage. Like making each injection inflict 50-100 mind wounds. I wouldn't want this to be ultra powerful either, like make it inflict as much damage as say the base heal of a stimpack B does.


Most of you will probably not like this idea, thats fine with me. Like I said this was my opinion on what I would like to see happen. If it doesn't happen it makes no difference to me as I enjoy playing my profession now. I was just trying to think of new things to add and decided to post this to see what you guys thought.

its interesting idea but one flaw...


like u said nothing the medic line prepares u for combat...CMs have to master a branch of the novice tree..the most toughest line in the marksman tree at that...



if u wanna be technical about it...doctors so know how to "create" damaging stim...jsut not how to use them...


u forget that doctors make the best components for CM poisons and diseases right now...


think of it like this the doc know how to make the most effective poisons and germs...but it takes the CM to actually put them together into some that is combat effective...


so in a sense u are right...doctors are ready know how to make the components of a damaging stim...


it would be like saying WeaponsSmiths should automatically be able to use the weapons they make....


there are lots of things that could be added to the doctor profession now...


AOE cures, multistat heals and buffs....AOE stat packs....

You are right, maybe just give the doctors the ability to craft the damagepacks but only let the combat medics use them. It would give us another thing to sell besides stimpack B's.


I do agree with you on needing AOE cure and multi stat buffs and the likes, but I thought those were touched on, in the big list of issues so I did not include that here.
