Thread: To Make or Buy...

Well I originally had the idea that I could buy all my enhance d's. I am willing to pay a lot for a crate of each. However, it is becoming clear that since you need a high level of doc to use them that there doesn't seem to be a market for them like that. I was planning on saving the skill points but now I'm leaning toward making them myself and grinding out the crafting requirements.

What do you heavy docs think about that? Is there trully no market for it? Also, I rarely see any D stimp packs as the same is the case with them. You need master medic..

Well, since Enhances use Avian Meat it's not always easy to get enough stacks to make crates of Enhances, at least not GOOD ones. When you add in that I would normally want to make 4 different enhances at a minimum (usual Health, Action, Con & Stamina all for the best regen rates) it gets even tougher. You MIGHT find a Master Doc (we are kinda rare) who would also be willing to make some for you, though, especially if you came up with the supplies they needed.

Personally I just find it easier to have gone all the way to Master Doc and make them myself. And no,I don't sell enahance packs. Sorry.

On Chilastra, if you bring me the supplies to make your Enhance-Ds, I'd gladly do it for you.

However I don't sell my own due to the fact it's hard to locate good quality avian meat and reactive gas...

The market for medical supplies has been hammered by a horrendous number of bugs in the resource and production aspects of the game. Until these get cleared up, its going to be tough to see much of a crate based market develop to a reliable enough point to where doctors can strip off their crafting skills to buy other skills. The enhancement area will probably never be supported heavily by crafters due to the unreliable and limited availabilty of avian meat. If creature farms are reimplemented, this might become more reliable.

The new 'tax' on vendor use is probably going to be an additional anchor around the production industry, for all goods except non-luxury items (the only non-luxury item in the game at the moment is weapons).

At the moment for me, I can make far more money doing destroy missions than I can going through all the hassles of dealing with the production quirks in-game, and all the nerfs/penalties the devs have on their lists to make developing a business even more difficult.

Very good points guys. I guess I will think long and hard about this. Is the Avian meat and gas hard to get in large qtys or just hard to get period...

Avian meat can be found on naboo by harvesting Nunas, on Corellia by harvesting spats(i believe). The issue isn't that's it's really hard to find, it's that it's tough to get a large quantity. And, at least on Chilastra, the quality itself is very poor.

The Reactive gas is hard to find. I managed to get 3K about three weeks ago that I've been saving. I never see any for sale on the bazaar and I don't have enough lots to place yet another harvester down to get some of it...

Hard to get in large quantites for the meat. The gas can be hard to locate for high wuality stuff, but once you find a good spot it's not hard to get large quantities until there is a resource shift.
