Here's something for us doctor-types to think about, at least in our typical hunting groups. I duo almost exclusively with a master CH. She uses a couple pets at a time, depending on what type of missions we're doing, etc. So I have no issues healing her pets (xp or not) because they are our tanks.

Many of us in here are master docs and don't care about the xp anyway (not all, but many). Here's a cost-savings tip some of you may or may not know about. After we pick up our missions, we make a quick trip to the med center for buffs. I use 2 and only 2 buffs on each pet (and an action buff on us for more special move spam! =)

I buff the pet's const and stamina, which are the 2 bars that dictate regen rates. In case you weren't aware, they nerfed pet regen to make more demand for healing, i presume (odd, considering they then nerfed xp for it). Maybe trying to generate demand for a BE product, who knows. But with my 2 buffs on the pets, I almost never have to heal them anymore. They regen their bars while we move to the next mission. Most of our missions are on Lok, a few on endor, so there really are some things that beat on the pets.

Just thought I'd pass that along, in case it's useful for any of you (who don't already do this). My burn rate on stims has practically vanished since doing this for the past couple weeks.

I normally buff the regen stats as well as Health and Action, but even for players I don't bother with Strenght and Quickness. Even with the great regen rate there are still times where some of the pets I group with need that extra Health and Action boost to keep them up and going. So I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I definitely agree if you can only buff a couple of stats, the regens are the way to go.

I agree that buffing pet's regens is a good way to go. I use stamina and constitution buffs on my group mate's pets all the time.

However...on myself I find the most effective buff to be quickness, followed by action, then health. As a pistoleer, I use specials quite a bit while fighting. With a >1500 buff to quickness, kd moves cost no action at all. And hence nothing to regen. I just use stims to heal up the times when mobs actually do hit me. Ithink that it's less downtime this way than buffing stamina and waiting for regens.
