Thread: Proposed Master Doc Perk: Buff Consistency
I like the idea of buff consistancy ( <--- spelling ). The only thing is I have not seen to many Non Master Docs buffing on Tempest. It might be different for other servers. Most people on Tempest know a Master Doc will give better buffs.
What I would really like to see is the Master Doctor be able to use lower quality resources and with the knowledge a Master Doctor have be able to use it as a higher qual resource.
ie: you have 750 oq reactive gas at master doc it would be 810 quality...
Last but not least anything that has stats above 900 a Master Doctor couldnt increase its stats. That way there is still a reason to run around and plant those harvestors.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I can PROMISE you that is NEVER EVER EVER going to happen..
You get crafting advantage over non masters via 3 expirimentation points, and it's a big advantage too
Ok, it looks like we're not getting a fix for the bugged crates problem. If it were up to me,they shouldrevert back to the way it was. Or implement an increase in med useat Novice Docso that they can keep thesimpleminded "minus sign" fix.
But Zarlor claims this goes against the wishes of the great masses of voting Doctors. So clearly we gotta replace it with another perk, right?
Why not add a Buff Consistency stat to the Doctor tree?
Novice Doctor = +5 Buff Consistency
Intermediate Doctor Medicine Knowledge = +5 Buff Consistency
Advanced Doctor Medicine Knowledge = +10 Buff Consistency
Master Doctor Medicine Knowledge = +10 Buff Consistency
Master Doctor = +50 Buff Consistency
At 0 buff consistency, you'd get the same wild swings as today. At master doctor, you'd have 80 buff consistency, so your swings are greatly reduced. Maybe make it so that low buffs are eliminated but higher buffs still occur. Clothing mods can increase this to 100 or higher.
Example 1:
0 consistency, range =800 to 2800, average 1800
80 consistency, range = 1600 to 2800, average 2200
100 consistency, range = 1800 to 2800, average 2300
I really do wish they would do for Doc what they are doing for Creature Handler. The best perks SHOULD be for those who master the profession. I think you should not be able to rez without being master.
Ofcourse since dev asked us this alreay I am expecting the change to go in next hot fix for sure.
