Thread: Weird factory bug...

My factory just stopped after making one item... Except the item was an empty crate (no number) and it used the resources for one item before stopping. And I got a message saying that no item was made. Has it happened to any of you?

Hmm. thats wierd... especially with the empty crate..


The closest I have ever come to that is when the factory automatically stops becuase of a missing resource, and it still uses one of each of the components, non-missing resources even though nothing was made..

I have heard of something similar to that happening. It comes from having your output hopper to full. Even if it says it can hold more, it's stopping because it thinks it's too full.


Try taking some stuff out if there is anything in there and try it again.

Yeah, it seems that factorys are still very bugged. That problem has happened to me.


Anoughter few problems are.


1) factorys making the full ammount of things but 1 or 2 of the crates have been split into 2 different crates. (so 1000 synth cloth in 39 crates of 25 + 1 crate of 23 and 1 crate of 2.) This happens alot to me and is horibal as i sell wearable containers full of all sorts of stuff and that takes up 41 spaces of an inventory normally (40 for the crates and 1 for the bag) as you cant equip them straight away. But if this happens then people have to hold 42 space slots or more.


2) They only seem to be able to hold 80 crates sometimes in the output hopper. So if (like above) i make my synth cloths, before i put anoughter lot in sometimes i have to empty it, as on accasions it only allows 75 crates or something. And this isnt down to storage space as i have produced 3 consecutive lots of fiberplast panels in one of my factorys before (they come in crates of 50 so thats 60 crates, rather than 3 lots of synth cloth that comes in 25s so would be 80 if i did 2 lots.) and it had no problem holding them.


3) Using resorces without producing items. If you put in say 2 of the 3 things needed to make something (i made a few mistakes as i have 8 factorys on farstar so sometimes have to use 2 types of the same material like fiberplast and mix up 2 of the scematic lots when putting them in the factory.) it will sometimes use up the materials for the ones it has and make nothing, then stop as it works out its run out of materials to make it as it has got the wrong type of fiberplast or metal or whatever.



I think a list of things needs to be made if not already and posted up for the devs to fix. The 1st one i put has been around for 3-4 publishes and its VERY annoying.
