Thread: Are medicine assembly tapes worth getting?

Just wondering if medicine assembly tapes make a difference when crafting. Everyone has the +5 from the apron already, so is it worth it to look for the extra points? Thanks for any info.

It makes a difference, much less failures, good successes, and more amazing successes.

Ya, but2 million credits per point - no other profession is paying this much. What's the ROI on that???

Yeah, I was gonna ask what med skill tapes were going for on other servers. We have an auction on Kauri for a +2 med experimentation skill tape that's up to the 3 mil range. I think this is too ridiculous since I just bought one about 2 weeks ago for 100k from a vendor.

Don't compare assembly and experimentation... 100k for 2 exp is very cheap, I would think experimentation points go for 500k per point or so usually, assembly maybe 200k.

Wow. Those rates might be the 'going rate' but they are still attrocious. Maybe it would be easier to just get a group of friends to go hunting for the tapes. Where do they drop, or is there no rhyme or reason to where to find them?

There used to be a cave with chests that spawned very nice tapes... I heard it was nerfed so I don't know. Other than that, any NPC can drop tapes... It's just insanely rare.
