Assuming limited skill points, which is better to take? Doctor |0|2|4|4| or Doctor |0|4|2|4|? I mainly wanted Doctor for the crafting line, to compliment Bio Engineer crafting, and maybe make some people medicines for added income. I figured if I was going to be a Doctor, it would come in handy to have access to some minor buffs for personal use (I'm not a buff junkie ). So, which route would be better all around, which route would be more cost-effective when it comes to buff packs, and which route would make the best use out of the buff packs I can craft myself as a Master Chemist (Doctor |x|x|x|4|)?

The template I'm currently shooting for is:

Artisan |0|0|0|3|

Scout |4|0|4|0|

Medic |4|4|4|4|Master|

Bio Engineer |4|4|4|4|Master|

Doctor |0|x|x|4|

I could drop all of the Artisan skills to free up enough points to get Master Doctor, but I want to be able to survey for my own resources, and I don't plan on doing a whole lot of Doctoring anyway.

Stims arent effected by Wound treatment mods, only wound packs, and buffs. Get the 0204 for cheap buffs, OR get 0024 and use higher level wound packs lol

I don't think there is a way to do everything you want. You need the 3rd line just to use what you can make. Settle for all C Packs, you'd still need 3 in the use tree. You'd need 4 in the treatment tree + droid + bivoli to hit for 1000 with those c's. Anything lower isn't worth the bother. Even if you didn't want to sample aggro critters, dropping the terrain line of scout won't give you enough points. Your only option is to drop artesan.

I dont understand how the Doctor crafting line helps the BE crafting line at all.

Either way you do not have enough points to effectively make the buffs AND apply them.

I beleive he meant 0204, but as for crafting helping a BE, it will help you create better pet stims, even though they are hardly used.

I have a BE, its not worth it to take doc just for crafting pet stims. The C's take Dath Insect, which isnt that hard to get, but the D's take Fish, which really really is. Besides that, there isnt a huge market for pet stims. If you're just gonna doc dabble, go 2440 and buy 90 MU buff pack D's for yourself, and talk to your buff suppliers, I'm sure they'd be happy to furnish you with crates of top notch MD pharm components to craft your pet packs with, since they make em for their buff packs anyway. Pet stims dont use the injury treatment or speed mods anyway - they only give exactly what the power says they will and always have a big delay. Pound for pound, its much cheaper and easier to use people stims on your pets.

My bad...I thought that CH would have been virtually dead by now after what the Devs did to them (used to be me), and I never saw the market strong for pet stims.

I have a Rifleman / Creature Handler on the same server, so getting my own meat is not a problem; I won't be paying 100+ cpu for meat any time soon. Also, even if the pet stims are crappy compared to people stims, my CH doesn't have the skill points for Novice Medic, so those crappy pet stims will come in handy for him. Like I said, I won't be doing a lot of Doctoring, and I don't *want* big uber stat buffs (they're one of the most broken things in the game right now, and I won't use them); I just want something that gives me a good boost, that I can use whenever I want to without hunting down a Doctor. My BE has zero combat skills; he's a crafter and adventurer, and a Medic when the Mythical Combat Revamp makes Medics useful in normal combat again. He doesn't need or want game-breaking buffs to make him stupidly uber, he just wants something that will help him out when he's in the field. I can always use food and drink on topof it in a pinch. If I can get all the resources myself, and craft all the medicines myself, who's to say what's worthwhile for me to use, and what's not?

I got Master Medic for two reasons; one, to gain access to the Doctor crafting line and a few useful Doctor skills, and two, so that once they get around to fixing the combat system, when Medics are actually *useful* to people in combat, my BE can go on hunting trips and provide support. I won't be buffing other people very often at all, and I've been playing for many many months without ever using Doctor buffs, so having access to even a mediocre buff will work just fine for me.

With Doctor |0|4|2|4| I would have 70 Medicine Use. Would I be able to experiment on Enhance Pack C to lower the MU to 70? From the looks of things, I could spend a point (or two) on MU to lower it to 70, and experiment the rest on the power of the buff pack. Would that work?
