Is there any known way to stop people stealing droids?

Its driving me crazy when i am trying to buff and some idiot keeps running off with my droid. I can ignore tells etc but i cant stop them pinching the droid in the first place.. any ideas? Its happening everytime i buff at the starport at the moment.

characters somehow ''summon'' the droid. Its deliberate, not a bug. Im not sure which skill it is but its very irritating...

The only way to get the droid back is to either wait till they stop calling it (not going to happen) or mess about putting the droid away then getting it out again.. very irritating if you have a big queue waiting for buffs.
