Hello again, I'm still an aspiring Master Doc, and recently realized that it will be a lot cheaper to buy a med harv and get my own wheat off of Lok. Getting around there is not a problem (amazing what Explore 4 can do )

So I head over there to drop it down, start to survey and eventually find a great spot, 79%. Keep in mind that this was just minutes ago, after the resourse shift on Lowca.
Previously, I just ran till I found some harvs, and dropped my one right next to all the others. I try to drop it, and get the "Building Is Not Permitted Here" message.


My question-- How do you know where you can/ cannot put your harvestor on Lok??? I tried at least ten spots, all at least 100m away from each other. Am I missing something here? Help appreciated--

It has to be flat land and of course a decent distance away from the stronghold.

The problem is, it won't even give me the "place "screen (for lack of a better word.) Usually, you can get that screen and if everything appears red, the ground is uneven and you cant put it down.

The message I get makes it seem like the area isn't zones for building, like in a city. The ground is very flat everywhere I try, and I'm halfway down the map. I'm stuck.

Any more help? Please! LOL

Are there any creature lairs around where ur trying to build?

Those will cause the no build zone message too...

The no build zone extends around 800m or so from Nym's Stronghold. If you didn't even get the placement screen, you were within the no build zone. Outside the no build zone, you would get the placement screen even if the terrain wasn't flat or their were lairs preventing actual placement.

Sometimes the really concentrated spots are in the no build zone. In those cases, I tend to head out of town in the opposite direction and find a completely separate concentration of the same resource. Alternatively, you can go about 1000m out of town and then start walking a ring around the city until you find a nice concentration outside the no build zone. At 1000 to 1200m outside the city, you should be outside theinner lair spawn ringso it should be fairly safe.

Gah, i give up. Finally stuck it on 30% because its time for bed.


There were no lairs either. I don't think...

Hmm, have to double check that.

Any other suggestions?/
