Thread: Why am I not getting XP from my factories?

Hello all. I'm a recently retired Bounty Hunter who has decided to seek the more peaceful pastures of the Doctor profession. In just two days I became a novice Doctor and I'm having trouble trying to figure out all the nuances of crafting for the med profession.

My biggest question is this: I have two factories producing compenents for me. Why am I not receiving any XP for the factory crafting? I've been staying within 100 meters of the dang things and still nothing.

Also, can anyone point me to a good guide about learning what to look for in the quality of materials for crafting. Since I advanced so fast in the medic tree, I'm a little overwhelmed by all this information.

And, while I'm at it, I'm looking for resources for both grinding and making high-quality med packs.

Thank you all for your help in advance.

This is in no way S'zalgod.

Distance makes absolutely no difference. You are supposed to get 10% XP from a factory even if you are logged off.

However, about 2 publishes ago (October,I think?) for some reason Factory XP just broke. We no longer get it. It's on the issues list for us but has never made it into the Top 5, not even for any of the crafters' lists I've seen. But we do have it listed as a Bug on our list of issue, at any rate.

Greetings,

Your best betfor Medical Crafting Experience is to grind your way through using Advanced Biological Effects Controllers. However, if you don’t want to grind (does anyone, really?) I would suggest making high powered Woundpack Bs in assorted flavors, and then handing them out to the new medics in the MedCenters. Why?

If you make them by hand, including the subparts (advanced ones give much more skill, and much for a better ‘gift’ in the end) the experience really isn’t that awful. And a young Medic in the MedCenter is much more likely to enjoy a few high-powered woundpacks rolling around than some poor powergamer trying to figure out why his 50 new Stimpacks didn’t come in a crate. You get your skill, and someone just starting out gets their skill faster by using your products. You might even get User Experience from them using your medicines (I heard you do get a little bit when they finish up the pack, if you’re near by)!

Yep, once we lost factory experiencemy factory was re-deeded and laid on the floor of my house until I finished the crafting line. I was fine with it taking longer (10 times!) tofinish that lineas long as I didn't need to grind, but wound up having to in the end.

It is SO nice to have crates of subcomponents by the old crafting station again. I can bang out what I need for a hunting trip in no time and always have fully experimented subs on hand.
