Unless you're in a fight on Tatooine.

i actually went and bought 1000 units of water vapor before I really understood the concept of being on fire.
I immediately got set on fire shortly there after, and died trying to figure out how to poor the water all over myself.
hehehe.

I think this is a touchy subject, Is there a need for a on fire cure? I would say no, if PvP is done outside of cities there seems to always be a river or a stream around. If you want to wage war in the middle of a city, u should burn nice and slow.
But if you must have a fire cure, have BE's Tailors get together to make some kind of Synthetic cloth that Doc's CM's can use at he Master Level to make some sort of a blanket or what not to cover the person and put out the flames, charged that calls for those involved in On Fire Cure to stand still for at least 4secs......no fire is ever instantly put out =) IE:XXXXXX is attempting to put out the flames covering your body.4seconds later XXXXXXX has suscessfully put out the flames. Before 4secs.... You move and the flames reignite setting you ablaze again
PS
Wearing armor (full suit) should lower the dmg done when on fire, having the armor itself take dmg (decay). Also I would like to say there are Imperial Vs Rebel battle fields in the game, dont have to PvP in cities.

Greetings,
“On Fire!” is an extremely powerful attack that currently has no counter - there is no other special move in the game that can’t be “cured” in some form another. Poisons and Diseases have their medical packs, bleeding has First Aid, various stats all have their own little heal packs to fix them. You can even earn skill modifiers or purchase SEA items to protect against posture changes, like that ever pesky Knockdown! Why should one of the most powerful damage types in the game be virtually un-curable, and completely un-curable on demand (assuming proper skills and equipment)?
The easiest, cleanest way to implement it would be to make another Cure Pack like the ones for Stun, Intimidate, etc and stick it in the Doctor’s Crafting line. Make it like First Aid or Poison/Disease cure, where the quality of the pack and the skill of the Doctor help relieve the condition faster. That’s means a poorly made, common pack in the hands of a novice would still take several applications (on a timer, of course) to put out.
And I know - it seems silly that you can’t just have a bottle of water, or ever better, the old “Stop, Drop, and Roll,” that most of us learned in early grade school. Why should it take a high-tech piece of equipment to put out good old combustion-based flames? Just for the sake of argument, rather than thinking of this as a “way to put out the flames,” think of it as a very urgent cure for what are going to be some very nasty burns!

One reason I find that On Fire Cure should be Master Artisan or somesuch
vice Doctor or Medic is that On Fire isin't a biological condition, like
Disease, Poison, or even Stun/Dizzy. Presumably the DOT damage comes from
flammable materials adhering the body and continuing to burn. If anything
this requires an Engineering/Technical/Chemical solution (like Halon or
AFFF) vice a biomedical solution.
Of course, does it require Novice Artisan to use a fire extinguisher? lol
I have heard mumblings that /tumbleXYZ might mitigate some of the fire
DOT effects, but I don't get put on fire often enough to find out.

i saw on another thread somewere a player controled fire heal, it was /stopdropandroll, seems pretty simple to me. just give it to professions at some point early on. i would think 4 seconds would wrok were you rolled around on the ground, it would take away actions and you would prolly just be shot again with the fire but hey it will be a way of stopping the fire.
