can a you put a +3 +4 and +3 into one piece of clothing to make a +10 experimentation or do they have to be in seperate items of clothing.

i.e. do the points stack or do they have to be kept seperate

They will not stack, you need to put them in different pieces. Additionally, I dont think you could put one of those in a crafting apron either if you have one, I believe that they would be cancelled out also, anybody else know this for sure?

I can confirm this. If you putan attachment to an article with abonus to the same skill, only the highest stat will show and be in effect. I had an architect friend that mistakenly took a 5 experimentation tape and put it on his 5 crafting apron--ouch!
