Thread: Experimentation Fubared since last patch?

I was hand making buffs tonight using odds and ends I have stocked up and I was getting very strange experimentation results and wondered if anyone else is seeing this?
Normally I make crates in my factories, so I experiment once or twice, get a result I like and just plunk them in the factory. So since in this case I'm not experimenting many many times, I hadn't noticed any odd results.
However, when I was hand making buffs, using the same ingrediants, there was at least 3 times that I got very abnormal results. For instance I had 350 or so avian meat, so since that's not enough to bother doing a factory run, I just hand make buffs.
The buffs I was making with this meat, getting great results, would all end up with 852 buff, 8755 duration and 90 med use (1 experimentation point used to bring med use down from 92 to 90). Effectiveness was capped with 10 exp pts. I have 12 exp pts, so one was used to bring med use down, 1 went into charges.
Then one buff I made, during the experimentation process I noticed went up in buff value (used 4 exp points on the first exp. attempt) to 635, then subsequent exp pts didn't raise that number at ALL. However, the duration kept going up and up with each exp attempt. I ended up with a buff of 635, 13300 duration 95 med use (used all experimentation points in effectives since I wanted to see what would happen with duration).
So to recap, these ingrediants would make a 852 effectivenss, 8755 duration and base 92 med use (before bringing med use down).
The odd buff ended up 635 eff, 13300 duration, 95 med use using the exact same ingrediants and same "great" attempts.
There were 2 other bizaar results while making these buffs, but I didn't write them down. I talked to another buff maker I know, and he said he's been getting very strange results on experimentation also.
So has anyone else noticed this happening?? Is this something we need to bring to the attention of the dev's so they can figure out what they messed up with the last patch?

I just finished doing 3 seperate sets of buffs for factory runs (getting all the schematics done), other than a few aggravating trends of failures, didn't notice anything out of the ordinary personally.

How many schematics did you make? Like I said if you only experiment 10 or so times, you might not have it happen.
I made about 30 individual buffs and found 3 times, I got strange results. Earlier I did schems for factory runs and did 7 diff schematics and had no problem with abnormal things happening for those. So perhaps it's something that only happens 5-10% of the time?

Including a few failures, I'd say I made about 30 schematics. I ran into a frustrated moment where I got 4 failures in a row, but thats not unusual.
Not saying your wrong, I just didn't experience what you describe.
