Thread: additional profession

hi all, i am going for master doctor (eventually) but itlooks like i won't be able to retain my flame thrower 4 line. any suggestions on a good combat profession to partner with master doc? i do pve almost exclusively, so i don't need anything uber. just something i can hold my own with. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Anything up from the 4 Brawler lines are good complimentary professions for a Doctor.

thanks for the reply. i was thinking about going tkm, so i'll probably just stick with that.

Might also consider Master Rifleman, then you would also be very good in PvP (not saying that TKA and Fencer arent). Currently I am Master Doc/Swordsman, 2nd time being this actually, and I really enjoy it, very good in PvE and not too shabby in PvP.

I agree with Otin Master Doctor/Swordsman with Scout 0010 equals no more sp

Not too shabby? We can solo almost everything in the game and I love it

I meant in the PvP aspect of being Swordsman/Doc, dont have UBER def, and its still pretty tough to punch through 80% comp. I FULLY agree, we are one of the best, if not the best in PvE.

you know, i hadn't even thought about swordsman, but it sounds pretty cool. i think i'll give it a shot. might as well. thanks guys.

From a pure damage standpoint Master Swordman has to be it. Headhit 3 with a nice scythe will do some excellent damage very quickly. If it's resistant to kinetic or your running low on mind switching to a good acklay power hammer can work wonders. There's only a couple of things in the game to be wary of, Krayt's and Nightsister Elders, anything else you can take down easily except some Rockshapers that are 100% resistant to kinetic and blast.

TKA and Swordsman are both professions I have mastered. I really like swordsman with master doctor, which I am now. TKA isn't a bad choice either. Damage output on both is good, but swordsman has medium AP and blast damage.
