There have been a lot of discussions on buff prices. No matter what side you're on the topic, one thing remains a fact - meat prices are going through the roof. This is what is driving the prices. As a manufacturer of buff packs, I can tell you that I've had to raise my prices because of the costs I now have to pay for Avian and Herbivore meat. And believe it or not, it's not just the Avian meat that is killing me (although, prices are now in the 350 cpu range) - but the Herbivore meat is hurting more! You need an incredible amount of Herbivore meat for components and you go through it fast.

What is driving these costs is lack of supply. The mobs thatthat you can harvestAvian meat are all too small and that goes the same for Herbivore meat. Notice that Carnivore meat isn't in the same price range as Avian or Herb? Players are just as reliant on Chef food as they are on buffs so why aren't other meats 350 cpu? It's because you need just one high quality spawn on Dath and the server is supplied for a long time with everyone killing Rancors double time.

I'm not trying to start a negative debate nor am I trying to comment on harvesting prices. WhatI want is to propose a constructive solution or at least the start of one.

I would like to request that as part of our Top 5 or Question of the Week (or whatever other opportunity we may have to put in a request to the devs), that we request that harvest rates for Avian meat and Herbivore meats be increased. Or, that new higher-end mobs be added in the game so that opportunities (like Rancors) can be taken advantage of to provide a strong supply of meats.

Strong supply = cheaper meat prices = lower buff pack costs = lower buff prices

That's my thoughts on the topic.

I agree.. this should be done.. I've seen discussion for this before though.. so there is probably already a petition floating out there with sigs on it..

I don't think anyone here will disagree with a significant increase in Avain meat harvest.

This idea has good intentions, however I strongly disagree with it. With the insane 2500+ buffs avialable, why would the devs do something that would make buffs easier to create?

I think the best option is to raise prices, its just hard getting stubborn people to realize that if you raise your price, you will still get business.

Im up for an increase, avian is a pain to get especially when the only thing that drops it only has 9-10 units on it. /sign
